Elf Generalist Wizard question

So, i've decided to take a level of Elf Generalist Wizard, but there is one thing i dont get.
If i only take one (first) level of wizard, then progress arcane spellcasting through different means (PRCs) do i still get a bonus spell slot on my highest spell lvl?

For this one we should take a look at the phrasing. Most PrCs specify that you gain spells as though you'd gained a level in that class (with regards to caster level, spells known, and other spell casting effects). So it'd be very reasonable to assume that you'd get that bonus spell.
