Hi Folks,

If this has been asked before, I couldn't find it.

There was a movie a few years ago. It was probably a direct to DVD release. It was about a group of table top gamers who were about to break a record for the longest running campaign. The group was painfully dysfunctional. Subplots included a member being regularly attacked and beaten by an African-American little person (is that still the right set of PC terms?), a member having a custom wizard costume made that looked a lot like a KKK costume, and (maybe) something to do with a foreign guy whose family wanted him to play soccer inseminating horses? (I may be mixing that last one in from another movie). At no point do I recall the RPG actually being *played* in the movie.

Anyway, can anyone supply the name of the movie, and ideally the year it came out? I had thought it was just called 'Gamers', but apparently I'm wrong. IMDB keeps sending me to other movies, and google keeps sending me to p0rn.

Thanks!

I believe it is called "The Gamers: Dorkness Rising." Could be wrong though.

Also, I have a friend who does a webseries called "Which die is it Anyway?" about an RPG. That might be up your alley.

Not the series that contains Dorkness Rising

As an aside, xkaliburr, do you have a link for your friend's series?

Also of note, Unicorn City was pretty fun, but it was clear that the people writing had never really heard of LARPing, so it came across as a "wild and crazy idea that will get you hired by a game company!" Fun movie, if you don't get nauseous from rolling your eyes!
