Incarnate Weapon Meld workaround

It says as part of the bind it has to be a melee weapon (proportional to your size)

i have a player that wants to use this as part of his Incarnate...but would love a ranged weapon (like a soul pistol)

would any DM's out there allow this? everything else would apply as per RAW.

i also didnt see anything in the text that stated you would get two if you had two weapon fighting...does anyone have clarification on this?

Well, it seems pretty cut and dry on the soulmeld description. If you're alignment A you get weapon A. But if it means that much to the player, I don't see an issue in giving him a ranged weapon but maybe a feat to give him two weapon fighting via incarnate weapon.

Chaos Incarnates are pretty hosed without a ranged weapon so I would certainly give them one. It's kind of funny that they designed the class that way and then threw it out the window when it came to their iconic meld.

ah good point, i can adjust his TWF feat already so thats its just for soulmelds.
