Demetrius bites his lip, watching him go

So... Umm... Yeah... Airships and oceans and stuff.

He waves to Hawkeye

Wukei smiles at Hawkeye and leans in on him as she looks back to Demetrius. Perhaps I'll have to check out this Wurmwreath...if one city alone can keep a pirate happy with his booty.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye leans in "Well if you're going I'm going, there could be all sorts of dangers that I need to protect you from"

[Wukei]

Wukei laughs. Please...if I can handle gods I can handle a few measely angry villagers.

[Lykan]

Demetrius shrugs

He hits a bunch of places. Wurmwreath just tends to be a hotspot because there's a big city and a canal there.

He bites his lip

I'd be careful if you went there though... Lots of artifice vehicles.

[Wukei]

Wukei's eyes light up like a second Christmas had come up. Ohhh...sounds like a great vacationing spot...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye looks kinda hurt "Well I was trying to be chivalrous..." he hears Wukei's above comment "Oh, we were talking about vacations earlier..."

[Lykan]

Demetrius chuckles

Those things are fun to hijack.

Wukei kisses Hawkeye. Pirates don't go for chivalry. We go for good in...good intentions, yea.. She glances at Demetrius.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian, having been passed outside by Hawkeye without a word, steps back inside. He walks over to Hawkeye and gives him a quick hug, stepping back.

For taking me in, and being the brother I've always needed and still need.

Demetrius's face contorts, trying to contain a burst of laughter

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye narrows his eyes, a bit annoyed that Kyrian killed the moment "I don't like you being in two places at once."

[Kyrian]

Well, it's the real me standing here. Sorry I tried.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye tilts his head on one side "Yes I can see that now." he runs a hand through his now red hair "And excuse me if I'm wrong but you said the complete opposite in that letter, so what am I supposed to believe? Because I find that a lot more thought is put in when you write letters."

[Wukei]

Wukei sighs, sitting back in her chair.

[Kyrian]

Look...my heart and mind....are confused right now. I guess...I guess I was just so excited about finding my parents that I let it be my number one priority. And then...Lo...

Kyrian looks down at the floor.

Loki said that neither of you two actually care...and it felt right...I don't know why I allowed myself to believe it...

[Lykan]

Demetrius sits on the ground

Well, there's plenty of imports and exports worth taking... It's a high magic city.

[Wukei]

Wukei's ear twitches slightly and she glares at Kyrian, holding up a hand to Demetrius to stall him for a moment. You know...I don't know why he'd lie to you like that, but he WAS the god of trickery. He was probably trying to bait you into something. But I won't have you speaking ill of him.

[Hawkeye]

"You think your heart and mind's confused? Let me tell you something. The person I hated to the ends of the planet, hell and abyss gave his life for mine and Wu's happiness today, and that's something I've got to try to get my head around. And he also gave me the ability to fight and kill the thing that killed us both and him." Hawkeye's eyes glow red, he clenches his fists and they erupt in fire "And that's a debt I need to repay for us and him."

[Kyrian]

Kyrian back away from Hawkeye, a little frightened.

I'm sorry Wukei...I didn't mean to speak ill.

[Lykan]

Demetrius hides beneath an empty desk

[Wukei]

Wukei looks back to Demetrius, checking on him.

[Lykan]

Demetrius peeks a head from behind the desk

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye closes his eyes tight shut and shakes his head to try to clear his mind, but when he opens them again they're still glowing red. He gets shakily up and heads towards the stairs, but only getting halfway there before dropping to his knees and only using his hands for support to stop him falling to the floor. He stays there breathing shakily and shallowly

[Kyrian]

Hawkeye? Kyrian warily walks over to Hawkeye.

[Wukei]

Wukei is immediately up and beside Hawkeye before she even thinks about moving. She puts an arm around his shoulders to steady him.

[Lykan]

Demetrius goes under the desk, hopefully providing him with enough cover from a possible blast

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye puts an arm around Wukei and leans on her, closing his eyes

[Kyrian]

Need....need any help?

[Wukei]

Wukei helps Hawkeye to his feet. No...I think it's just bedtime...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye's breathing becomes more regular and he opens his eyes, which are back there normal blue. He nods at Wukei, still leaning on her but not as much as before.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian nods and turns for the door.

[Wukei]

She smiles back at the others and then leads Hawkeye to the stairs, slowly.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian leaves, as memories, thoughts, and feelings start to flood his mind.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye allows himself to be lead to the stairs leaning on Wu and goes up them, very, very sleepily.

Much, much, much later Hawkeye gets up, leaves a note besides Wukei and leaves the agency

[Lykan]

Demetrius crawls out from under the desk, looks around, and sighs. He makes his way to the cots in the back room and curls up

[Wukei]

Wukei walks downstairs and flops down in her chair.

[Lykan]

A silvery bly furred wolf cub pads into the room, yawning

[Wukei]

Wukei looks down at it, raising an eyebrow.

[Lykan]

It looks up at her

Evenin'.

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles. It's evening.

[Lykan]

The wolf shifts into a tired looking Demetrius, and he flops onto the ground

Sleep well?

[Wukei]

She smiles. Of course....but...have you seen Hawkeye?

[Lykan]

Demetrius shakes his head, yawning

I've been in the cell all day...

[Wukei]

Wukei looks toward the door.

[Lykan]

Demetrius sighs

I could go look for him, if you want.

[Wukei]

Wukei shakes her head. It's okay. He'll be fine.

[Lykan]

Demetrius nods, looking at the ground

Wukei smiles. So...tell me a bit about yourself.

Demetrius looks up

Wukei laughs. It sort of leaves it open to you to decide what you wish to divulge.

Demetrius shrugs

There's a rapid knocking on the door. Demetrius looks over, quizically

Umm...

Wukei raises an eyebrow and stands, walking to the door slowly. She opens it, with a preset questioning look on her face.

[Lykan]

A man with silver hair stands at the doorway

Hello... I need to speak with Demetrius... There's a family emergency going on.

Demetrius tries to see what's going on

[Wukei]

Wukei shifts uneasily at the words "family emergency" but steps aside, motioning for the man to enter. Her other hand rests on her swordhilt.

[Lykan]

Luthein enters and walks up to Antony

Time is an issue, come on.

He holds out a hand, which Demetrius looks at with a slightly confused look. He looks at Wukei

Umm... I'll see you in a bit...

[Wukei]

She scowls. You're just going to trust him. Her hand tenses on the cutlass.

[Lykan]

Demetrius bites his lip

It's a long story... But I sort of know this guy... He and Fallon are umm... Good friends, in the future...

[Wukei]

She frowns. Fine...

[Lykan]

Demetrius gets up hugs Wukei, and takes Luthien's hand. They dissipear

[Wukei]

Wukei returns to her desk, scowling.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye appears outside the office on the streets in a swirl of fire. He steadies himself on the wall, composes himself and then walks in, although his eyes glow slightly red.

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles up at him, until she sees his eyes. She frowns in concern. Are you okay?

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye looks slightly confused, apparently not realizing his slight change of eye colour "I'm fine Wu"

[Wukei]

She nods. Okay. If you say so...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye smiles, he walks over to Wukei and kisses her "Hey, I'm fine, honest"

[Wukei]

She smiles, returning the kiss.

[Hawkeye]

The red glow gradually fades "So how's my girl been today?"

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles. I slept through most of the day...

[Hawkeye]

"And I thought I was the tired one. You ok now?"

[Wukei]

She nods. Still a bit tired...

[Hawkeye]

"Hmm...are you having trouble sleeping then?"

[Wukei]

She smiles. Well someone keeps me up all night.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye grins and wraps his arms around Wu "I suppose I should have the same problem because someone keeps me up all night as well"

[Wukei]

Wukei chuckles. Yes, well...being mortal, some of us actually require sleep.

[Hawkeye]

"Ohhh...that's how you managed it before. I suppose I'll have to go at a slower pace next time."

[Wukei]

Wukei chuckles and kisses him.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian crashes through a window, and lands head first into what used to be his desk. He lands in a heap on the floor.

son of a bitch...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye turns around and looks at Kyrian "What the hell?" his eyes start to glow red

[Wukei]

Wukei stands, placing a hand on the hilt of her cutlass.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian slowly stands, and coughs up a little blood. He looks up and grins, as a fire burns through his eyes.

I'll pay for that...sorry.

[Hawkeye]

"Sorry, I'll rephrase that. What the hell is going on? It's a rare occurrence when people use the windows and not the door"

[Kyrian]

Kyrian's eyes turn pitch black as he turns to Hawkeye. When he opens his mouth, he uses his "god voice" as Wukei so aptly named it.

Just a little fun at my temple...Xemnas got a little out of hand, and I'm about to go teach him a lesson. You two...take care.

Kyrian tosses a pouch of platinum and gold onto the nearest desk and runs out the door, Renegade in hand.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye looks at Wukei "Wow, he sure is good at ruining moments"

[Wukei]

Wukei chuckles, but looks at the door with some concern.

[Hawkeye]

"Do you think we should follow?"

[Wukei]

Wukei nods. I suppose it's only right.

[Hawkeye]

"Alright, just stay close to me. I could get a bit...hectic in there"

[Wukei]

Wukei nods and moves forward. Her face pales considerably and she falls toward the floor.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye moves instinctively towards Wu, trying to catch her before she hits the floor without thinking about it beforehand

[Wukei]

Wukei is now unconscious in Hawkeye's arms.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye, in panic, passes on a lot of strength through the bond to Wukei

[Wukei]

She seems less pale, but still unconscious.

[Hawkeye]

"Come on Wu...wake up..." Hawkeye passes on as much strength as he can that he thinks is safe

[Wukei]

Wukei wakes slowly, though she still looks groggy. What happened?

[Hawkeye]

"You passed out suddenly...you seemed fine one minute then you keeled over in the next"

[Wukei]

I know...I just got really dizzy...

[McBish]

((She vasal vagled. Sorry I just like saying vasal vagle.))

[Hawkeye]

"Gods you had me so worried....any idea of what caused it?"

[Wukei]

She shakes her head.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye kisses her cheek and holds her tight

[Wukei]

Wukei clings to him. Perhaps we should just stay here after all...it's bedtime?

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye nods and stands, with Wukei in his arms

[Wukei]

Wukei wraps her arms around his neck, looking absolutely exhausted.

Hawkeye kisses her again and walks towards and up the stairs

Kyrian enters the agency, knowing he won't find either Hawkeye or Wukei. Taking a piece of paper and pen, he writes a note.


Hawkeye and Wukei,

I just wanted to let you both know, I know that you'd been on your way to help. Thank you, it means a lot to me.

He leaves the note on Wukei's desk and leaves.

Angelus makes his way to the front of the agency, and then passes out at the front door coughing up a little blood.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian moves Angelus onto a cot in the back and takes a seat at his old desk, trying to sort things out.

[Wukei]

Wukei's ear twitches and she sits up, wrapping a blanket around Hawkeye. She heads downstairs quietly, grabbing her cutlass on the way. She looks out into the office with suspicion and sighs, dropping her guard. It's just you...

[Kyrian]

Sorry...didn't mean to wake you.

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles. Well apparently pointed ears aren't just for decoration.

Feeling better?

She sits down at her desk, placing the cutlass atop it.

[Kyrian]

If by better you mean stronger, than yes. Unfortunately, no I'm not feeling better.

[Wukei]

Wukei frowns. Where in the world would you get that I mean 'stronger?' You're insane.

[Kyrian]

I guess I am.

[Wukei]

Wukei leans back in her chair, placing one slender leg up on her desk. So, I'm assuming you finished whatever business you had?

[Kyrian]

Kyrian, finally after two or three days, notices Wukei's robe.

Yea...Xemnas is dead....as is Ares. Um...nice robe?

He raises an eyebrow, and then quickly looks at the note he left on her desk.

[Wukei]

Wukei frowns. You expected me to get fully dressed when I thought someone was stealing from me?

And good riddance. I'm assuming I'll no longer receive red spikes through my calf.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian shakes his head.

If he knows what's good for him...he'll stay dead. He won't want to fight the god of war twice...

[Wukei]

Wukei frowns, darkly. I'm tired of gods...and they're not that special when everyone you know is one.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian just nods his head.

[Wukei]

Where's Lillah?

[Kyrian]

At home. Sleeping.

[Wukei]

She frowns. Well, Mr Omniscient, why have you been here rather than there?

[Kyrian]

Because she believes I shouldn't give up on this family. Something I'm starting to believe again myself.

[Wukei]

This family comes second to her.

[Kyrian]

But...I...I don't want to lose this family, as much as I don't want to lose her.

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles, You'll not lose us. But it's not that long until you're getting married, and there are many preparations you have to go through. If you need any help, just let me know. But I think this is a time you two need to spend together.

Kyrian smiles.

Thank you...and before I forget. I said the 27th before. It's the 28th, I made a mistake.

Wukei smiles. All right. We'll make sure to set the date aside.

Kyrian stands, and gives Wukei a quick hug.

Wukei smiles, returning the hug. Remember. Anything you need at all. My fingers are itching to sew again, so if Lillah needs a dress...

Kyrian goes over to the door and turns to smile at Wukei.

Wukei smiles. Hey, we need someone to be a meat shield if we ever get another case.

Kyrian leaves.

Wukei leans back in her chair, resting both feet on her desk, crossing one over another. The tail of her robe falling back to rest at the feet of the chair doesn't seem to phase her.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye comes downstairs and sees Wukei at the desk "Um, aren't you cold like that?"

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles up at him. Do you want to warm me up?

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye walks up to behind her chair and wraps both arms around her stomach "Oh, tempting but I think I'd like a bit of time in the land of the living before retiring." he leans forwards and kisses her cheek "Unless you're willing to bend my arm a little bit..."

[Wukei]

She smiles and kisses him. So I'm assuming you slept well?

[Hawkeye]

"Like the dead...I overdid it and passed on a little bit too much strength last night. Any idea what caused you to black out?"

[Wukei]

She shakes her head. It worries me...

[Hawkeye]

"You should already know this-" Hawkeye quickly moves round the chair and picks Wukei up into his arms "I'll protect you whatever, regardless of the situation"

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles at him, tiredly, But how can you protect me from something internal?

[Hawkeye]

He sighs and sits down, putting Wukei down on his lap "That's something tricky to deal with...but I've done it in the past and I'll almost die trying if neccessary"

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles and kisses him. I'll be fine. I promise.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye smiles ang hugs Wukei tight "I know that already...I just worry too much." he kisses her "We always seem to have it tough, but fortunately we have a knack of coming out more or less on top"

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles. We're lucky.

"Sometimes that's all we need." he smile drops "I've still got to get rid of Merant...and I'm unsure of what he's going to try next"

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles. I've got an idea. You may not like it...but it's a good idea.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye raises an eyebrow "Oh, what's the idea beautiful?"

She smiles. I can be bait.

Wukei smiles. I'll be fine. We can do this at Trog's where there's plenty of places to hide.

Hawkeye bites his lip "Hide away from a god? I don't like the sound of that at all. And he'll suspect something, he always does things on his own terms"

Wukei frowns. But how else can we not risk him hurting someone else?

"I don't think he wants to hurt anyone else in this place, because if he did he would have done it already"

[Ryohoshi]

Angelus wakes up and weakly makes it out to the front of the office, his clothes in tatters. You never moved me stuff, did you? I forgot it here by mistake.

[Wukei]

Wukei's about to say something but stops upon seeing Angelus. She readjusts her robe and frowns. You know...you haven't been showing up for work.

[Ryohoshi]

Angelus lights up a cigarette, Its been a busy couple of days.

[Hawkeye]

"It has been for us as well, but we show up for work y'know"

[Wukei]

Wukei frowns at him. Really? So busy you can't take five minutes to stop by work and say 'hey, I can't come into work today?'

[Ryohoshi]

Angelus calmly smokes his cigarette, Like you would have noticed if I was here. So far all of the stuff I've seen anyone here do beside me was their own thing, it had nothing to do with work.

[Kyrian]

((*takes a scene from Scrubs*: *hugs Angelus* "It was nice knowing you"))

[Wukei]

Wukei scowls. If you feel that way then leave. I thought it wasn't that bad to check in once and a while. After all, it's 10 platinum a day to say hello...

Hawkeye scowls, his eyes start glowing red

Angelus smirks, I wouldn't even be surprised if you really did care about this job. After all you did make it just to spite something you dislike. He heads upstairs grabs his remains, and leaves the office covered in a very thick demonic aura.((I'm stupid, if you had the ability to, you could sense a strong demonic aura and his life force getting weaker.))

[Wukei]

(How the hell did he know we made this office just to spite someone?)

Wukei clenches her fists.

[Kyrian]

((Oh...NOW you tell me you didn't want "Made just to spite the Gufipolice" painted on the sign outside...))

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye lifts Wukei up and puts her on the desk. He stands up and moves towards the door, eyes almost burning red.

[Wukei]

Wukei blinks and watches Hakweye from the desk, confused.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye, fire tracing every step, reaches the door. He glances back with his red eyes and then exits the agency

[Wukei]

Wukei tenses and sighs. I'd best follow him... She stands and heads for the back room.

[Merant]

A heavy hand falls on Wukei's shoulder from behind her "Hello my dear Wukei..."

[Wukei]

Wukei tenses and drops, spinning to kick Merant's legs out from under him.

[Merant]

Merant sighs and sidesteps, partially expecting it "Loki tried this, it doesn't work on a god. He died trying it."

[Wukei]

Wukei steps back, away from him. You're real bold, when no one with any powers is around.

[Merant]

Merant grins "Oh, he'll come. As you stated a while before, you're going to be bait, but on my terms" he feints an attack, and teleports behind Wukei. He places a hand on Wukei's shoulder again and they both disappear

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye appears in a swirl of fire in the spot where Wukei and Merant disappeared from. He looks around and growls, then disappearing again in a swirl of fire like in which he arrived.

[Penguinizer]

The ork figure ((Gorgotz)) can be seen looking in through the windows, as if scanning the inside for a possible ambush. Noticing that no-one is there he goes into the alley next to the building and waits for someone to enter.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye and Wukei appear in a swirl of fire in the bedroom "Don't want you to catch death of cold...can't stand unnecessary deaths on my conscience" He puts her down on the bed and starts going through the cupboards looking for blankets

[Wukei]

Wukei curls up in the bed, still shivering. She watches him. Are you leaving, she asks.

[Hawkeye]

"Don't know. Maybe, maybe not" when he finds some blankets he throws them on the bed

[Wukei]

She frowns and pushes the blankets off and stands, heading for the door.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye stands and looks at her "Where are you off to?"

[Wukei]

Wukei looks back at him. Away from the warmth. I'd rather die than be alone, anymore. You've broken me...you've made me a good little housewife...and now you're leaving.

It's not fair.

[Hawkeye]

"Life's not fair. We only deal with what it throws at us. Don't throw you're life away so meaninglessly"

[Wukei]

She walks over and strikes at him. How do you see it as not being meaningless? Would you rather I sit here pining over you until I grow old and die?

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye just stares at her and takes a few steps back. His eyes slowly start to go to a dimmer red "Why? I was just a washed up mercenary when I came here and I haven't improved since. I don't deserve any feelings for me."

[Wukei]

Wukei frowns. Something's obviously changed in you, and not for the better. It's those damned powers. Loki's probably laughing his ass off at us right now...

[Hawkeye]

"They helped at the right time. We would be dead if it wasn't for these."

[Wukei]

Wukei scowls darkly. What does it matter? You don't care about anything but yourself now...it's all about revenge, to you.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye shrugs "If you can't look out for yourself who can you look out for?"

[Wukei]

Wukei slaps him again. She looks hurt as she states, I hope those powers are taken from you. Then you'll realize what you've put yourself through. She turns and heads to the closet, pulling out her usual outfit and stripping off the robe. She quickly dresses.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye rubs the spot where Wukei slapped him, his eyes go a dimmer red "Oh I already know what I've put myself through I've hurt you..."

[Wukei]

Wukei turns back to look at him as he states the last bit. She bites back her tears, trying to figure out if he really is back to normal or if he's just heartlessly stating the obvious.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye walks towards her and holds her hands "You're still cold...very cold..."

[Wukei]

She clings to him, shaking. It doesn't matter...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye wraps his arms around Wukei bringing her as close to his skin as possible, still radiating quite a good amount of heat "Yes it does, you might die of the cold and I don't know how I'll continue"

[Wukei]

Wukei looks up at him, smiling sadly. She clings to him, weakly, resting her head on his chest.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye takes off his cloak and puts it on Wukei, fastening the clasp. He the wraps his arms back round her

[Wukei]

Please don't leave, she says as she finally collapses in his arms.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye smiles "I won't..." he puts Wukei back on the bed and covers her with blankets. He gets in besides her staying as close as possible, wrapping both arms around her stomach tight.

[Penguinizer]

The Ork figure now leaves the alleyvay to go back to the streets.

[Wukei]

Wukei wakes and sneaks out of bed and downstairs. Once she's there she lets out a fierce coughing fit that she seems to have been holding in.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye wakes up and heads downstairs

[Wukei]

Wukei hears Hawkeye and tries to stiffle a cough, which only makes it about ten times worse. After she manages to still it for a moment she looks up with a smile. Hey...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye manages to weakly return the smile "Hey" he waks over to Wukei and hugs her tight "I'm sorry..."

[Wukei]

She returns the hug, smiling genuinly and is about to kiss him when she stops short, obviously not wantin to get him sick. I'm just glad you're back to normal.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye shakes his head "No, I was a complete ass, and now I think you're sick because of it"

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles up at him. But you're better now...

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye sighs "But for how long? I don't want to go off the rails again..."

[Wukei]

Wukei drops her gaze, her eyes narrowing sadly. She has another coughing fit.

[Hawkeye]

Hawkeye panics for a second "Jeez, you are sick..." he attepts to lead Wukei to her chair and sit her down in it

[Wukei]

Wukei smiles at him from underneath the covers, coughing again. Ah, don't fuss...
