This again? It seems one of these pops up every month.

Then again, I probably don't get as much pleasure out of it, mostly because I don't know many actors, but still. Ah, well.

And please? Don't say Samuel L. Jackson.

:roy: Dulé Hill (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0384211/)

I imagine him reacting to Elan about the same way Gus reacts to Shawn, except that Elan doesn't have the secret underlying superpowers. For that matter:

:elan: James Roday (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0734442/)

Have him act the role of Shawn Spencer, without the genius powers of observation and eidetic memory; kind of an inverted Psych. I think it would work pretty well.

Can we just have Eddie Murphy play everyone and be done with it?

Has anyone mentioned Hugo Weaving for Lord Shojo? Because that would be awsome.

Wouldn't work - Shojo is Asian.

There's a part of me that thinks that George Takei (http://cdn.ientry.com/sites/webpronews/pictures/takei_320x245.jpg) would be hilarious as Shojo, and have a lot of fun with the role, but he's still rather young for the part. He definitely has the presence and snark for Lord Shojo, though.

In truth, I don't know a lot of actors, but I think that Eihi Shiina (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-i6dN9zWKe9w/TeN3DPRMTXI/AAAAAAAAH6o/OGhhfdiePJQ/s1600/Helldriver01.jpg) has a really good look for Miko.

As for O-Chul, Ho-Sung Pak (http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/hprofile-ak-ash2/49870_693388968_5359462_n.jpg) has pretty **** good martial arts skills, so if he'd just get a sensible haircut (he has one in a few pics, but has this kind of awkward hairstyle in a lot of others) I could see him as O-Chul.

I like the Dulé Hill suggestion for Roy. He definitely has a good look.

My vote's on Andrej Pejic (http://www.mamamia.com.au/wp-content/gallery/andrej/ANDREJ-PEJIC-VOGUE-TURKEY.jpg) for Vaarsuvius. Pejic can totally pull off the elven androgynity, and has the high cheekbones that I tend to see associated with elves. No idea if Pejic can act, but when it comes to androgynity Pejic is the one to beat.

Rose Leslie (http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GQWAmmZdj2g/UVe0cZsVzMI/AAAAAAAAVt4/y4gM0kDcljE/s1600/rose-leslie-game-of-thrones-season-3.jpg) has a good warrior woman look and a build a lot like how I picture Haley's. This picture pretty much sold me on her as Haley, so, yeah.

Jake Abel (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/3/3e/Jake_Abel.jpg/220px-Jake_Abel.jpg) has a good, youthful, 18 charisma look and could probably pull off a good Elan.

As for Durkon and Belkar, I've got nothing.

Ah, i was thinking that it would be an animated movie. Pat Morita (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001552/?ref_=tt_cl_t2) would be my vote for a live-action shojo then ...if i could bring him back from the dead. :smallfrown:

Oh! Yeah, VA stuff is a whole different ballgame.

In which case, my vote would be Grey Delisle for Miko and Greg Baldwin for Shojo with a sad regret for the loss of Mako Iwamatsu, who I'm sure would have thorougly enjoyed the part. *cough*

VA would have Dominic Armato as Elan, I sincerely hope.

Had to look them up, but I completely agree with you on Mrs. Delisle. Don't remember seeing anything involving the other two, but Mako Iwamatsu's IMDB page pretty much filled out the list of movies I want to watch this month

Belkar is a psychopath, and who acts better as a psycho than... Jack Nicholson (http://ucinema.altervista.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/shining.jpg) ? :belkar:

Rick Moranis is clearly perfect for the role of Kilkil. I can see it now.

I want Hugh Laurie to play the merchant in the Monty Python skit.

Oh, Mako was basically the classic narrator for movies in Asian settings. He also did the voice of Uncle Iroh on Avatar: The Last Airbender, before his death led to him being replaced by his understudy Greg Baldwin, who has over years of working with him become quite adept at doing basically his voice.
