View Full Version : Can you bear it?

I was going to wait until the morning to post, but I just cant bear the anticipation.

Anthropomorphic brown bear named Smokey, who two hands a shovel, werebear druid with a bear animal companion, bear wild cohort, spent all WBL on taming bears, with occular ray:summon nature's ally.

So he is a bear, werebear, turning into bears, riding a bear, flanked by bears, shooting bears out of his eyes.

And he is a nudist, you could say he enjoys bearing it all.

And that's why no one can bear to party with him. And that's his cross to bear.

NOTE: I know all the should-have-been a different spelling of bear, but its just so damn cleaver, I cant bear it.

And sentinel of Bharrai

Anthropomorphic animals are Monstrous Humanoid, so no werebear. That said, druid and sentinel of Bharrai cover the "turning into bears" thing.

Also, Ocular Spell can't be applied to SNA, since it doesn't have a Target.

Also Mass Bears Endurance.

Edit: and Bite of the Werebear?

Animal Lord is a Prestige Class in Complete Adventurer. One of the options the class offers is to be a Bearlord.

vow of poverty because you only need the bear neccesities.
Take a gun bacause of you right to bear arms or go monk for some bear knuckle boxing.

train one of you bear pals to carry your flag. this way you have ur sign (ursine, get it?) close by.

and always go the polar opposite way the rest of the party wants to go. That will surely make you unbearable as a party member.

i am tired and dont know builds, but i do know bear puns.
and do check out all the other bearington posts. they are hilarious.

I cumembert it anymore! I think this is the link (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140757) you are looking foor. the puns are really getting cheesy and the thread (with some pun reading work) will serve as a buidl suggestion. Just don't take the first post build seriously... they perfect the build further on.

See I disagree with the bearington idea. Sure its funny but I think its lacking.

What would be infinitely more funny in my opinion is a build focusing on:

A Gnoll Werehyena.

Because it creates Schrodinger's Lycanthrope. Is he in his normal form? His Hybrid form? An Animal form? We just don't know! They all look the same!

OMG! I love it! A brown bear tauric anthropomorphic brown bear bear totem bearbearian bear warrior bear animal lord Sentinel of Bharrai and turns into bears, bearing no equipment, cause with VoP, all he needs are the bear necessities, the simple bear necessities.

Apply the PF Young template once or twice to a bear till you get a bear cub, them apply Savage Species Symbiotic Template to bond the cub to another larger bear.

There you go, now you can reenact the Brother Bear movie.

No, the symbiotic creature template can be added to creatures of the animal, humanoid, plant, and vermin types. Probably the most famous example of the template's use, a Dread Blossom Swarm symbiote (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=259833), used a plant creature as the guest, though.

Huh, I always thought it had to be an animal and a vermin or plant or something. Never really crossed my mind you could just put a smaller animal on another.

This issue here is that anthro-bears are monstrous humanoids no?

Better, you can also make MasterBlaster by stitching an infant human to a tall Barbarian human via the same process.

Correct; as a monstrous humanoid, an anthropomorphic bear cannot legally be part of a symbiotic creature. And you can't apply symbiotic first because it forces a type change to Aberration, making a Symbiotic Creature ineligible for the Anthropomorphic template.

Of course, the writers ignored their own criteria when making their sample Symbiotic Creature (a "bugsucker," a combination of a bugbear and a stirge, the latter of which is a magical beast and hence ineligible to be used with the Symbiotic Creature template).

What about a werebear with symbiote?

That would work, yes, provided that the base creature is a humanoid. You'd need to get the werebear template first, though, since the type change from Symbiotic Creature prevents a later application of the Lycanthrope template.

If you don't want your character to be bearing to play in combat by just swinging a giant stick over and over, you might consider having Curse of the Brute and Girallon's Blessing cast on you. Now you can bear moar arms! Go with Fuse Arms to really cubber your enemies.

Also, I don't want to be overbearing by posting YT links, but I find these Bro (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_ynHyqAIRM) Team (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r09n6HPwVb4) vids (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQethZBldHs) to be embearassingly funny. Warning: foul language.

Yes! Fight for your right to bear arms! Fight with your right to bear arms! Or, if you go with the giant stick option, fight for your right to arm bears!

Defenders of the Faith. It's a 3.0 book dealing with clerics and paladins, much akin to Tome and Blood (sorcerers and wizards), Sword and Fist (fighters and monks), and whatever the other ones were.
