(given that the old thread is too much old)

Hey, TWO new strips, since I checked the last time!
That's an impressive rate...

Yeah he has slowly been producing them. I think he has had a hard time getting ideas as of late.

Up until now, we only saw skirmishes. This is the first scene with massive destruction, with districts blown up.

Edit: when I posted my previous post, the last comic was the number 55. Now there's the n. 56.

That was interesting. Not a bad looking fireplace either. The soldiers there put a lot of work into it. But it is also in a way depressing. It means these people have stopped even trying to get out of the city.

Ravenlord

At least some they have a nice place to stay in. It's too bad that knowing the Blastwave way of doing things, it's invariably going to get bombed/burnt/exploded to the ground.

But I kinda' hope the fireplace would be left standing. Because you have to admit: that is one fine piece of fireplace. :smallcool:

That's where I would place my bets. This page (http://www.blastwave-comic.com/index.php?p=comic&nro=62) should explain it all.Aside from the content, it's the third page this year and the March barely started. Will Gone with the blastwave update regularly or something?

Again?

This is almost aproaching something similar to regularity with the new pages. That's like, the fourth one in about as many months.

An explosion is nothing more than a rapidly expanding fire from a central point.

Nope! There are many explosives, which do not burn but simply decompose. The most commonly known is obviously nitroglycerinin, but there are many others like that and quite a lot of those involve some weird nitrogen compounds. Some really exotic examples can be found here (http://pipeline.corante.com/archives/things_i_wont_work_with/) (among other nasty chemicals).

Apparently, yes.
But it's better to don't say it too loudly.

He's been doing it as a monthly thing since he started using Patreon. There's been one a month for the last 6-8 months or so (barring December, where he apologized for getting it out late and then put up two in January).

ROAD TRIP!

I can picture the debate that went on amongst their superior officers before this all went down:

Officer A: "Should we sweep the route to the supply post first, send some escorts, or at least scout ahead to make sure the road is safe?"
Officer B: "Nah, just send them in blind and alone, it will be much funnier that way!"
Officer C: "Time to take bets where they'll be blown to pieces!"

C'mon, you know that's exactly what happened.

Usually i don't necro, but given the slooow pacing of GWTB, it's not the first time for this particular thread, and I fear in this case it's needed.
Because...

I... cannot believe it.

The comic has come to an end.

For real!

66 strips in 10 years, and Kimmo stopped it.

And in a brilliant way!

Now, imagine the havoc they will wreak upon an unsuspecting civilization...nah, they'll just end up in mental hospitals. Ah well.

The best April Fool's jokes are the ones that you can't tell if they are a joke or not. And for GWTBW, we won't find out for 6 months if it was fake or not.

Anyone got a link to the patron page? Looking at that might help determine if it's legit or not.

The facebook page and twitter links to the comic are from 19 hours ago, in which case it would be April 1st in Finland (where the artist is from) already.

Seeing as most of the other 40k styled comics have died as well, im thinking this one has. I am entirely hoping it hasnt, but even reading on his website sounds like its the end. Especially after that "ten years" comment.

No more regualr marine, servants of the imperium, wobbly model, TSOaLR, and now blastwave. Unless you in the community know of others, my ability to find an active one isnt any good right now. I think there are more dead than alive.

At first I was sad, and then I realized it was April 1st, and then I realized the updates weren't coming up once a month, and that it might actually be the end.

Almost 10 years, guys.

Another edit (4th of april).
Now it's officially an april fools (Kimmo also planned a 3 page ending where one of the guys gets shot and then wakes up from the virtual reality game)
