View Full Version : Need a rough ruling on kappa shells

So 3.0 kappa shells gives you 9/10th cover which in that time period equaled +10 AC / +4 reflex save/ improved evasion
3.5 "cover" only gives you Well....Okay I will correct myself they give you the option of greater stats if you have more cover then usual, but am unsure how to rate it on a conversion.

I believe using the ruling for a tower shield by saying it gives total concealment (50% miss chance) would be the least headaches.

This seems reasonable to me.

Tower Shields (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/equipment/armor.htm#shieldTower) actually provide Total Cover, not Total Concealment.

I vaguely recall they were a piece of equipment from the 3.0 Oriental Adventures (or maybe Rokugan) setting but I could be off base, been a while since I flipped through any of that material.
