Innovative use for Deathward

My players came up with a new one for me.

Cast Deathward on the BBG Lich so that he can't heal himself. :-)

They ended up deciding not to do it because they only had 1 Deathward scroll left and 2 party members without it cast on them, and the Lich would probably make the save, but I gave them 100 xp for lateral thinking. lol

Creative, though flawed in that the spell target requires Living creature touched, as well as a will save. Still it wouldn't have been something i would have thought up so the bonus xp seems well earned.

[Fouredged Sword]

It would work on a living character with tome tainted soul though.

Good catch about targeting. Will mentio9n that to them, but yes, still worth the xp for lateral thinking. :smallbiggrin:
