Quick Links/Today's Posts not accessible

I get a permission denied when trying to see Today's Posts from the Quick Links.
I am a new member, checked but didn't manage to find anything in the FAQ or the rules.

One more thing. Since the search option is disabled maybe you'd change the part about it in the FAQ too? It had me wondering too until I saw a thread here.

Today's posts uses the search function. The search function is dead. Therefore the today's posts link is dead.

Also, there are no current plans to update the FAQ.

Or, perhaps it would be more accurate to say that any plans there might be are at the bottom of the to-do list, preceded by many important things.

Well, I get that it's not even important but it's like a 5 minute job.

Updating the FAQ with all of the differences between what is stated in it and how the forum runs is a huge job that will take considerable time we currently do not have. Add to it the fact that no one ever reads the faq*, and that updating it now would be pointless, and you can see why we currently have no intention to work on the current faq.
