Since T-Rexes are Huge creatures, the base creature would need to be between Large and Gargantuan in size (likely limiting it to being a Giant), but yes, it is possible.

It'd also be epic (in the game-rules sense), due to the large number of HD a T. rex has.

No. Lycanthrope's (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/lycanthrope.htm)can only be Humanoid or Giants. Minotaurs (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/monsters/minotaur.htm)are Monstrous Humanoids.

So could I do a Hill Giant (or other type of giant) that has Lycanthropy and turns into a tyrannosaurus?

Yes, that would work.

If you're talking about the Dragon Magazine template, it can up you to Large if you were Medium beforehand. If you're talking about the race, both the Savage Species version and the Races of Destiny version are Large.

I was thinking on the SS RoD version, glad to see I am not crazy...

The king of lycanthropes is clearly an Ogre Were-Battletitan. The weakest large creature becomes huge and invincible when they transform!

Battletitan is basically an armored T-Rex, if you didn't know.

Monster Manual... 3 IIRC

Here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7097263&postcount=38) is a commoner based build that can rear and command three of these beast (each one CR 16) at level 4

You're right, page 38. I've got to find a way to use it :smallamused:
Edit: If I remember correctly, Rich Burlew came up with the idea for it and the shadesteel golem.

I like how they specifically say that battletitans can't be animal companions or Summoned Nature's Allies. Because you just know someone would have tried it.
