Now that that's dealt with, I need to know, from you fine folks of the Playground, what Metamagic is best for augmenting the spell Thunderlance(SpC, page 220.). I have found that I really enjoy the spell, but I wanna get the most bang for my buck with using it.

Fell Weaken (http://dndtools.eu/feats/libris-mortis-the-book-of-the-dead--71/fell-weaken--1107/). Not sure if your DM would allow Maximize or Empower.

Fell Drain is always nice. I wonder if maximized would max out the damage dice? If you are using this on a gish, I would definitely recommend using Persist if you can swing it.
