So a Dm gave me permission to play a fiend of possession , and that can get a little out of hand real quick, what sort of safety blocks should I put on myself to prevent it from getting out of hand?

1) No perma-possession of anything with HD above your HD/level.
2) Buffing allies is okay, hijacking is not.

First two that come to mind.
