Hey! In the campaign I'm Dming I have this concept for a Bard who uses his music to manipulate and control people (possibly undead too, i think my group would love an ode to Thriller) to do his bidding and I'm not sure how to pull this off since I don't know a ton about bards.
The only way i can think of getting his Bards spells to affect undead would be to dip into Wizard [Necromancy] to get the class feature allowing his mind affecting spells to affect Undead since i wanna make this with as little hand waving as possible. Also, I'm leaning towards level 10-12 since the group has only now run into him at level 4 under the assumption he is friendly with them since he killed a group of goblins in a cave they were clearing out for a local power.
He has been seen as a Half-elf, but that doesn't have to stay the same since at the point the party saw him he'd definitely have a way to change his appearance. but I'd like to stay away from planar races since my group has been addicted to Teifling Pcs, though if someone here comes up with a cool concept using one I'd not be opposed to using it.
If knowing the party would help (all level 4 atm):
Vanaran Monk
Tiefling Druid
Tiefling Magus
Aasimar Cleric
Kitsune Rogue
Human Paladin
-tentative player-
Grippli Druid
Thank you for any input you give!
