Few years ago found a recruiting thread that had info about a system where multiple players play "gods" and slowly change landscape and essentially make a world. I know each turn each players had an action they could do like create a forest, mountain ect.

Anyone have any ideas what the system was?

A good houserule my group came up with was giving each race 1d6 of points a turn as well. That way you don't feel as chained to one race as you do in the existing rules.

Wow, with a little streamlining and re-balancing, this one has great potential. I suddenly feel the urge to dig out my "Settlers of Catan"-box and bastardize the two into a new board game.

Interesting idea, but how do you decide on spending those points? Through a vote or the creator of a given race spends them?

We went with whoever currently "owned" the race was allowed to use them. The creator is typically the owner, but at one point a race switched hands from one player to another so we allowed the new player to start spending the points. The banked points were removed in that case though.
