Thinking about a metal-themed caster and trying to put together a spell list. Can anyone point me towards some metal-themed spells--or ones that can be readily refluffed as such?

The Wu Jen spell list has a decent number of [Metal] spells.

Most of them are scarfy, though, which is weird.

Indeed. Scarves are great, though, so who can blame them?

You could poach some from Pathfinder as well, e.g. Metal Oracle.

The scarf things could probably be refluffed. Spells in Spell Compendium that might also work:

Bands of Steel, Body Blades, Body of War, Diamond Steel, Hardening, Iron Bones, Iron Guard and Lesser Iron Guard, Iron Silence, Metal Melt, Ring of Blades, Rust Ray, Steeldance, Treasure Scent.

This is likely an incomplete list.

I honestly read that thinking you meant metal as in the genre of music.

There's a "Metal Master" druid variant in Dragon Magazine #311 page 59 which can spontaneously cast chill metal, heat metal, rusting grasp, ironwood, transmute metal to wood, and repel metal or stone.

Spells dealing Fire damage could be fluffed as searing, red hot pieces of metal. The metal is not sharp enough to deal damage on its own, so only Fire damage is dealt.

You could do the same with Cold, I guess.

Manyjaws fluffed as metal would be the minions from Megamind, I did it and it was a lot of fun.

Physical buffs could be covering the target in appropriate metal. Cast Grace is a thin, shimmering mithral layer helping the target be quicker.
