SHADOWSCALE THEURGE
Shadowscale theurges tie together shadow and their innate tie to dragons, not only enhancing each in of themselves, but in time learning to combine mystery and flame.

BECOMING A SHADOWSCALE THEURGE
Given the requirements of the class, mutliclass shadowcaster/dragonfire adepts make up almost the entirety of shadowscale theurges. In settings and campaigns where there are other mystery-using classes, they may be able to qualify, but are almost certainly among the minority.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Skills: Knowledge (arcana) 6 ranks, Knowledge (the planes) 6 ranks
Shadowcasting: able to cast 2nd-level mysteries
Special: Scales +2

CLASS FEATURES

Mysteries: At each level, you gain new mysteries and an increase in caster level (and mysteries known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in your mystery-using class. You do not, however, gain any other benefits a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one mystery-using class before becoming a shadowscale theurge, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining caster level and mysteries known.
Invocations: At each level, you gain new invocations known and an increase in caster level as if you had also gained a level in an invocation-using class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. (This includes your breath weapon.) You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one invocation-using class before coming a shadowscale theurge, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining caster level and invocations know.
Shadow Breath (Sp): This invocation (Lesser; 4th; Essence), learned at 3rd level, allows you to place an area mystery upon your breath weapon. The area of the mystery becomes that of your breath weapon's. Any target hit by your breath weapon is also hit by the mystery. It takes a full-round action to cast the mystery and use the breath weapon.
If your area effect mystery has an initial target, the first creature hit by your breath weapon is treated as the initial target.
Treat shadow breath as a mystery whose level is equal to the area mystery placed upon the breath weapon (minimum 4th).
Draconic Shadowweave (Su): Beginning at 5th level, you can apply a breath effect you know to any damage dealing mystery that effects an target or that requires a melee or ranged touch attack. The mystery must be a minimum level in order to receive the breath effect, consult the table below.

Table 1-2
{table=head]Breath Effect Minimum Level|Minimum Mystery Level
2nd|1st
5th|3rd
10th|5th
15th|7th [/table]

If the breath effect is that of a cone, the mystery's range and shape becomes that of your cone breath weapon. If the breath effect is that of a line, it's range and shape becomes that of your line breath weapon. If the breath effect normally changes the type of damage dealt, it similarly changes the type of damage your mystery deals.
Using this ability increases the mystery's casting time to 1 full-round action. If the mystery has more than one target or allows more than one attack, you choose which direction to breath the line or cone, and all other targets take the normal effect of the mystery.
You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Cha modifier (minimum 1).
Scales (Ex): Upon attaining 7th level, increase the bonus provided by your scales to your natural armor by 1.
Shade-touched breath (Sp): This invocation (Greater; 5th), gained at 10th level, allows you to place a mystery with a range of touch upon your breath weapon. The mystery takes effect upon the first target hit by the breath weapon as if you had touched it. If the breath weapon doesn't hit any targets, the mystery is simply lost with no effect.
It takes a full round action to cast the mystery and fire the breath weapon. Treat Shade-touched breath as a mystery whose level is equal to the touch mystery placed upon the breath weapon (minimum 5th level).

It should be fairly clear the general goal here. A theurge of the dragonfire adept and the shadowcaster. While I feel i succeeded in that notion, I feel there is something missing. I want to create a very flavorful theurgic class, not unlike the Abyssym from Descent of Shadows (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74519). This, in my mind, requires more abilities that would integrate the two classes together. Sadly, none come to mind at this time. if anyone has any ideas, advice, so on, I'd love to hear it.
