Does it exist?

No, not as a licensed property but some system which would do well to create a game set in an Extranormal Institute (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ExtranormalInstitute) (perhaps teaching young wizards) in which House Affiliation, School Competitions and Secret Goings-Ons are the core of gameplay.

If it does exist, how do you like it? If not, are there systems you could tweak to produce it?

Witch Girls has a Harry Potter variant. It's pretty cool, and nice and simple.

Fascinating! This review (http://www.rpg.net/reviews/archive/14/14342.phtml) makes it sound very much like what I talked about -- although it is a bit scarce on how the rules work for actually running the game.

It also looks like the creator (Malcolm Harris) hasn't made anything since 2010 unfortunately :smallfrown:

Ignoring Mutants & Masterminds, FATE, Anima Prime and various narrative generic systems here for a minute, there is Eldritch High (http://www.rpgnow.com/product/95492/Eldritch-High-A-Little-Game-about-Wizards-Witches-and-Warlocks) from John Wick. I suggest taking a look, at least.

Fate Accelerated is pretty much custom-made for situations like Harry Potter, where most characters can 'do' similar things, but differ primarily in how they do them.

Have you played Eldritch High? What did you think of it? The first reviewer makes it sound like the mechanics are so poor it's not worth bothering with.
