hi everyone
i am trying to locate a piece of text describing the use of a specific ability enhancement item in the head rather than some other (amulet?) slot. from what i vaguely recall, the stat was Wisdom and the text might have been in a sidebar. it definitely came from a 3e/3.5 source (not PF), but it could have just as likely been a sourcebook as a Dragon/Dungeon issue. the note concerned a particular group (a class, race, or organization) and their preference for a non-standard slot for this particular item, which enabled them to wear something else in its standard slot. it may very well have referenced monks and the amulet of mighty fists/periapt of wisdom dilemma, but at this point i cannot be sure anymore. any help in figuring this out would be greatly appreciated.
PS. i am aware of the general body slot affinity rules in the SRD and MIC, but the text i have in mind was much more specific than that.
