So, I downloaded the latest version...

And they removed the adventurer shop? Seriously? What, did being able to actually buy rations and torches make the game too easy?

I also don't like the new non-ASCII graphics. Old ones were just fine, looks like a completely different game.

Problem is, I can't remember what the last version I downloaded is. It was around the time Cikomyr made his thread on this, and it was the version he was using.

I assume you mean version 3.5, which is still in development. In this version you can buy an infinite number of rations and torches in the general store, marked as "1". It will never run out.

In 3.4.1, the latest official release, you can still get rations at the general store, but it will run out sometimes and you'll have to wait for a restock.

...Huh. Well, apparently I completely failed to realize that the staircase was in the center of the town, and not at the edge. Half of the town was to the right.

And I'm playing 3.4.1.
