Would anyone be interested to see some of the fringe classes/ concepts revamped into alternate Tome of Battle Disciplines?

The two I'm thinking of adapting and integrating into ToB are the Soulknife and the (dun dun duuuhhn!) Truenamer.

This is all very sketchy at best, but here are some ideas for both:

Soulknife: Make the associated skill Autohypnosis. Stances could be used to create various types of mindblades. (not sure I'm keen on that, but it's a starting point) Strikes and boosts could be used to mimic soulknife class features.

Truenamer: I know. It doesn't seem very ToB at first glance. However, Recitations are very much like stances, and would actually be useful if they were expanded upon and used the same mechanic. Truespeech would be an obvious associated skill. A lot of the Utterances could be converted into Maneuvers rather easily. Replace the current horrible spell mechanic with something that allows truespeech to boost the effectiveness of many of the maneuvers (as several existing maneuvers rely on various skill check already.)

Truenamer. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71422)

What'd I win?

Internet cookies?

I like them both and would love to use them at some point.

That said, I was thinking of a more direct adaptation of the existing class material. I'd like to see just how much the abilities of sub-par classes can be parsed out and the best fashion for integrating them into more useful classes.

The ToB style rebuilds I have in mind are ultimately a thought exercise in preparation for full class overhauls that I've been wanting to implement for a while. (I know there are already many top notch fixes for the classes in existence. I just want to play around with my own.)

Well, those were what you requested. Technically. :smalltongue:

There's a Martial Discipline Compendium (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=6265.0) you can use to hunt down what others have done for similar needy classes.

Or, failing that, for springboards so that you can do it yourself, if you feel you can do better. :smallwink:

I don't think I can, so I just link to existing homebrew. Also, D1's homebrew disciplines, Sleeping Goddess among them, are, in the vernacular, the "bomb diggity." :smallcool:
