The panic that flowed through your mind as you struggled to finish the deed, consuming the potion that you gambled would save your life, or end it. the Flashes of consciousness that filled your mind as you recalled the events, being bound in a cave, finding books, being told of your new location, telling The lunar what you felt was save, all a massive blur.

How many days has it been since you where last awake? it was hard to tell. A cold chill permeates the air, you're aware that you have not been moved from your original location the sounds of footsteps can be detected from several feet away from the shadows Durande would arrive, not exactly trying to be subtle in a large brown cloak that he uses to cover himself Plate armor. "How do you feel Enigma?" The man would ask as he brushes off some of the dirt and foliage that covered his Large form, at least larger than most men.

"The potion worked. I am in control of myself for the first time since... since before." The woman called Enigma gritted her teeth at the memory. Fifty years ago, Enigma was a born Champion of the State. Twenty years ago she contracted the dreaded Gremlin Syndrome. Ten years ago she was hunted down by her former assembly as an Apostate. The fight dragged on and on those many years, both against old friends who now sought her destruction, and against her incurable sickness that drove them to such lengths.

It all reached a climax two weeks ago when she was finally cornered in the Far Reaches. The deepest part of her mind wanted to call out to her pursuers, to tell them of her struggles against her disease, and to repent for all the atrocities she had committed. But that part was buried beneath her Dissonance, subsumed by sociopathy and sadism. The Orichalcum Exalt that led the hunt began weaving the Protocol that would wipe her from the face of Autochthonia. He never knew that, rather than being destroyed, Enigma would find herself cast into Creation.

Two weeks have passed since Enigma landed in the depths of the Eastern forests. Her sudden, explosive arrival was marked by a crater, in the center of which she laid unconscious. Enigma's many survival charms went to work immediately, and she was functional in a matter of hours. Moreover, she was hungry. Her weary body lurched into a nearby village, where she proceeded to murder all of the inhabitants. A rare moment of clarity settled upon her after she had finished. She looked upon her handiwork in horror.

Driven by fear, disgust, and remorse, Enigma hastily concocted a draught from the blood of her victims that she hoped might quiet her homicidal urges. By some miracle, it succeeded, but robbed her of most of her remaining strength. It was there, sprawled upon the ground, that the Lunar Durande Greer found her. She had the look of a mutant, but like none he had ever seen. He thought to put the miserable creature out of her misery when she croaked out a plea for help.

And now she found herself here in this cave. "I feel better," she said, speaking as much to herself as to Durande. She rose to her feet using the cave wall as support. Enigma looked upon the face of her ally, and felt truly hopeful.
