Hey, i am DMing for a few friends in school and the game has hit the point where even welch's is an acceptable source of behavior compared to what we have been up to. i want to find some ridiculous builds for some random npcs for them to encounter. they can be wierd, archetype breaking, broken, or even plain out cheeze-whiz so long as they are interesting. i want these guys to have fun more than anything else.

Dirty Tricks Handbook (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=2287.0) may be a good place to start, as might the Psionic Tricks Handbook (http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=10262.0)

Famous optimized character builds (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=258580).

I'm so glad I made that now - it's nice to see it put to use

I was going to suggest the Iron Chef Optimization Challenge (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=302487) entries. There are several entrants for each PrC, all already built and optimized and only needing some equipment (just throw a stat boosting item, a weapon, a tome, and an item of continuous mind blank and you're good to go). Or if you don't feel like looking through several pages per thread, the Hall of Heroes (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14937721#post14937721) has links to the winners of almost all of them and runners up for a few. However, these are in general more suited for Medium to Medium-High Op than High Op, since they're almost all made with bad prestige classes. But I guarantee they're all interesting.

On a side note, I read "welch" and think of grape juice. What do you mean, OP?

Things Mr. Welch (http://theglen.livejournal.com/16735.html) is no longer allowed to do. I'm surprised you haven't heard of it.

Wow, hah, some of those are pretty good. Thanks Flickerdart

You could try my old, spontaneous, metamagic abusing, tainted wizard.

wizard 6/incatnatrix 10/hathran 1/archmage 2/tainted scholar 1

Or if you want to try an epic character at 'em you could do

wizard 6/incatnatrix 10/hathran 1/archmage 2/tainted scholar 1/cancer mage 1/ur priest (dead god variety) 3/dweomerkeeper 7/mystic theurge 9.

with the initiate of mystra feat, heretic of the faith feat and the ritual of alignment (evil)

With festering anger.

Or if you will to make it funnier, try this gestalt epic.

wizard 6/incatnatrix 10/hathran 1/archmage 2/tainted scholar 1/cancer mage 1/ur priest (dead god variety) 3/dweomerkeeper 7/mystic theurge 9//factotum 11/spell-to-power erudite 19/metamind 10

Concrats, you have infinite divine and arcane and psionic spells/powers(which you can spontaneously cast) along with infinite actions, infinite strength, metamagic cheese, along with dweomerkeeper cheese. Not to mention the tons of other benefits.

Edit:Or for far less cheese and perhaps for easier/better fluff how about Necropolitan Silverbrow Human Bard6/LyricThaumaturge2/Virtuoso2/SublimeChord2/Virtuoso7/spelldancer1 ?

Which, seems pretty decent as a regular bard build however, you basically get infinite metamagic abuse with necropolitan+spell dancer.
