I know there's some really good in-depth explanations/examinations of the individual alignments, but I've sadly lost my bookmarks for them because I don't use chrome and have to get my main computer out of storage. Sorry about that.

I know there's one or two that are pretty well-regarded around here, but I'm not having much luck finding them with what I can recall from googling and I've got a new player asking after something a bit better than what the PHB offers.

This website is all about that, and goes into intense detail about each one. (http://easydamus.com/alignment.html) (use the links in the sidebar to see the details)

Personally however, I prefer to use Real Alignments (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=283341) (which coincidentally are inspired by an article on that same website.

Easydamus! Yes. That looks like exactly the website I was trying to find. Thank you very much.

Not specifically what you asked for, but since it is alignment-advice gold, here is something everybody should read. (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=15700520&postcount=4)
