I recently started a campaign as a third level Human Duskblade, and during the first session learned that it will be a mostly sailing centered adventure. I have roughly five hundred gold left to spend. What would be the most effecient way to prevent a medium armour wearer frosm having to worry about going overboard?

Super cheap way? a rope. Tie a rope to yourself and the boat.

Otherwise for 500 gp you can get an Amulet of Aquatic Salvation (MIC 68). Allows you to breathe water for 5 rounds 1/day.

Or the even cheaper way of not wearing your armor, just stash it in your cabin. DMs tend to ignore the knocking overboard if someone is unarmored. It's only ever the guy in heavy armor that is going to be at risk.

Or you can just get a Least Armor Crystal of Aquatic Action -- for 250gp it makes it so your armor doesn't impose an armor check penalty to Swim checks.
