I'm wondering if taking the scout ACF "light Calvary" is a legal way of bypassing the mounted skirmish errata?

The ACF is in a dragon magazine and it gives the scout a mount.

I'm playing a mounted archer ranger and being able to skirmish would be gravy.

Which Dragon Mag? Also yeah it seems fairly intuitive at this point that that would override the errata. Elsewise that ACF would be the suck.

Can anyone confirm this as a legal method of granting skirmish damage to a mounted archer?

Dragon 346 was the August 2006 issue I believe (I don't actually have that one), but the Complete Adventurer errata was released August 2005, a year prior. Depending on the wording of that article, I'd say it can certainly override the errata since it's a more recent source.

It is a stupid Errata in any case, so I would ask the DM nicely. Skirmish isn't that powerful no matter how you cut it.
