So for a campaign I am dreaming up, I decided I wanted something fierce (and a dragon since as of yet in DnD style games I've never actually had a dragon involved) but not something quite "normal". I found two templates I liked, the Feral Dragon (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/templates/feral-dragon-cr-varies) and the Plague Beast (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/templates/plagued-beast-cr-1) . I applied these (in order) to a Very Young White Dragon (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/dragons/dragon/chromatic-white/white-dragon-very-young). I also realized that "demonplague" has nothing easily found, so I changed some things around and made the dragon more zombie-ish (Zombie Rot (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/afflictions/diseases/zombie-rot), possibly Staggered, etc). I figure its in a reasonably large, lit chamber with only one door, so I disregarded rewriting skill values.
This is my first attempt to apply a template (let alone two and then wing it), so please be gentle.
What CR would we say the below creature lies at, what steps would make it go up or down (if needed), does the wee drake sound reasonable? My goal was a CR 3 or 4 monster, so I'm curious how wildly did I hit or miss this mark.
Zombie Plagued Feral Very Young White Dragon:
NE Small Dragon Undead
Initiative: +5
HP: 5d8+15
AC: 17 (12 touch, 17 flat footed)
DR 5/slashing, Immune to cold, paralysis, sleep, death, disease, undead, etc
Vulnerable to fire!
Speed: 40 ft
Melee: bite +11 (1d8+6, Zombie Rot), 2 claws +11 (1d4+2)
Special Attacks: Breath weapon (20-ft cone, DC 14 reflex, 2d4 cold, Zombie Rot)
Str: 23 (+6) Dex: 12 (+1) Con: - Int: - Wis: 7 (-2) Cha: 15 (+2)
Fort: +6 Ref: +5 Will: +2,
BAB: +5, CMB +6, CMD 18
Feats: Alertness, Improved Initiative, Toughness, Power Attack
Special Qualities: Staggered
Disease: Targets of a successful bite attack or who fail reflex save in the breath attack must make a DC 14 Fortitude save or the contract Zombie Rot (Onset: 1d4 days, 1d2 con damage 1/day, cure is 2 consecutive saves)
Preemptive: I cut the speed by 20 because I don't think this thing will be quite as fast (but that's entirely a baseless guess), and for the breath weapon I figured it fair to half the cold damage and then add more Zombie Rot cause, y'know, Zombie Rot. I figure it fits thematically, but I'm not breaking any huge rules if its breath causes a fort and a reflex save? Should I just tie it down to a single fort save to negate the cold and disease (since its markedly less cold than normal)? I'm open to suggestions so please comment.
