Streets of the Town XIII

"Well keep working at it and you'll get those...where do you find it the easiest to sing?"

Alena looks up at the dark sky, I love to sing while I'm flying.

[Alex Shipmaster]

"I'd love to hear you sing every time, but unfortunately I'm not able to fly..."

[Rebonack]

"All sorts of people here with that incorporeal trick. How unimaginative," in the moment between channeling Disintegrate and the creature catching the blade with its metallic claws the spell has already been pulled apart. Whatever this thing is magic doesn't seem to be phasing it that much. "What an exquisite weapon you have. I'm afraid I'll have to break it."

It then hauls back with its free hand to shatter the glaive's shaft.

Alena shuffles her feet and her wings twitch. I could carry you up with me?

[AmberVael]

mElya changes tactics and uses her magic to shift herself and her glaive to one side, so the monster is no longer holding it, then she follows through with her stab.

[McBish]

Ok that's it you are both under arrest. Come quietly now or I will be forced to take action.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex smiles "I'd like that"

Alena smiles back, When did you want to go?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex continues to smile "Anytime"

[wxdruid]

Okay, Alena sweeps her wings back, glad that she's on top of a building. She steps up to him, gently picking him up, one arm behind his shoulders and one behind his legs as she sweeps him off of his feet, Ready?

[Rebonack]

Iridaceae turns to one side and leans back, the glaive's blade scraping harmlessly across its breast plate as several tendrils dig into the pavement and propels its body rather swiftly toward mElya like some grotesquely deformed spider.

By now simply casting spells in the creature's vicinity is getting difficult. mElya can likely feel how it's happening as well. The creature is actually diverting the magical energies she's calling on even as she tries to weave her spells. ((Think a Concentration check to cast, getting harder the longer this thing is around.))

Once Iridaceae has closed in some distance another pair of tendrils snake along the ground to strike at mElya from behind.

"I'll enjoy wearing your form. It should be most amusing."

Alex grins "Ready if you are"

[AmberVael]

mElya determines that she is ill-equipped to fight this battle, and so her logical, cold mind takes over and selects the best option- run.
You can wear it in your dreams.
She melts away into the shadow plane and runs off.

Alena grins and runs lightly for the edge of the roof, as she leaps off, her wings snap out and catch the air. They fall a little before she gains enough lift to carry them high above Town.

Alex chuckles slightly "Am I a bit too heavy?"

Fine just ignore the officer trying to arrest you. Hey you! Stop where you are you're under arrest.

Alena smiles, No, just need a bit more lift to carry someone, as she steadily climbs higher. Just tell me if it gets to chilly for you.

Being on another plane of existance, mElya has a somewhat hard time hearing the mutt. Not that she would have payed attention anyways.

Alex nods "I will do" he looks around "Never seen the Town from this height before..."

[McBish]

I love to fly, I can see everything from the air, as she shifts him to a more comfortable hold.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex puts an arm around her shoulders to make himself easier to carry "I can recognise a few things from this height, but only obvious things though. The town is mostly just buildings from my current viewpoint."

They'll become tiny dots soon. As she climbs the air gets colder and thinner.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex shivers a tiny bit "How high do you normally go?"

[Rebonack]

Iridaceae glances at mutt with the single leering orb set into its metallic skull.

"Stop where I am? And now what?" the creature coos. "I was merely defending myself from that awful person. Is that not allowed here?"

I usually go much higher, we can stop here if you're cold.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex shakes his head "No, I'm fine. I can...adjust my body temperature if needed"

[McBish]

((Drat I have to go. Please hit the mutt with an attack, he'll than be knocked out or maybe killed in a way where he can be raised whatever floats your boat. Or we can freeze.))

The mutt looks at him. Sorry bub your under arrest.

Alena grins, That's useful, Angels are used to the cold, I don't even feel it yet. She continues to climb, the buildings become pinpricks on the ground as she finally reaches the height she likes best. She looks up and starts to sing. She starts with a classic from her homeland.

[Rebonack]

((Later. Iridaceae doesn't really do 'knock outs' and I guess draining his essence is out of the question if he needs to be raised. >.>))

"Arrest? No, that won't do at all."

A single tendril tip snaps open with a low hum, a crimson beam lancing forth and neatly bisecting the officer.

"Don't take it personally," Iridaceae coos at the two halves of The Mutt. "I have someone else to kill and I just don't have time to muck about with the legal system here."

With a flash of sickly flame it has taken on the form of a young female adept. She steps out of the alley, doing her best not to drag her robes in the pool of quickly congealing blood. She ponders her next move, then heads back into Trog's.

As the air becomes much colder Alex's body starts to radiate a small amount of heat. He sighs and half closes his eyes, enjoying the music.

Alex smiles and sighs again, contentedly. His grip with his arm around Alena's shoulder ever so slightly tightens.

Alex's eyes open slightly as he hears Alena's voice change and strengthen, and he smiles. He readjusts himself slightly and he grips just a tiny bit tighter.

Alena finishes the songs and looks at him, Did you enjoy those?

Alex opens his eyes fully and nods "Yes...they were wonderful..."

The mutt lays in the road cut in half wondering why he got stuck with such a mean player.

Angelus hides in the shadow behind Trog's as he watches everyone he can on the street.

Alex smiles, looks up at Alena and tightens the grip with his arm. He then sighs and looks away slightly.

Alex looks at Alena indecisively, then smiles "As much as being carried by an angel appeals to me greatly, I sorta want to see things at ground level and not in the air at the moment. But it has been a pleasure to come up here with you."

Alena nods and starts to spiral back down to the rooftop. She hums on the way down. She goes gently enough that he wouldn't leave his stomach behind. I'm happy you enjoyed it Alex, it isn't often that I carry someone up here with me.

An android by the name of ESARS v.2 leaves the police station, and enters Trog's Tavern.

[Ryohoshi]

Angelus sighs out of boredom. He then creates a small bug out of magic and sets on the ground. He vanishes in to the shadows as it heads towards Wukei's Bounty Hunting Agency. The bug has a weird red glow to it.

The mutt lays in the streets cut in half. ((This dead mutt update brought to you by me his player.))

Alena lightly lands on the rooftop, Your weight isn't a problem and I would enjoy taking you up again sometime. She flicks her wings behind her and sets him down on the rooftop.

Alex smiles and readjusts himself to standing rather than being carried "I'd enjoy that too..."

[Ryohoshi]

The bug makes its way to the front door and begins to etch an explosive rune spell on the door. ((It reads bang, by the way))

Alena smiles shyly, Me too.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex bites his lip, looks as if he's about to say something but bites it back. He then tries to cover it up "So what now? Back to Trog's?"

Well, eventually I need to go back inside. I live there right now. Do you want a lift down?

[Alex Shipmaster]

"I can get down myself..." Alex grins "But if you're offering I wouldn't say no."

[wxdruid]

Alena steps forward and sweeps him off his feet. She goes to the edge and glides down to the ground. Putting him down once she lands.

[McBish]

Lillah steps out of Hank's.

The mutt stays dead.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian leaves Hank's and takes Lillah's hand.

Go whichever way you want.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex grins, and does an elaborate bow at Alena "Thank you for the lift my dear lady"

[McBish]

Lillah heads off heading in a random direction.

The mutt wishes he was in less then two pieces.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian follows alongside Lillah.

My pleasure, as she smiles and arches her wings behind her.

Alex smiles and nods towards the door to Trog's "Shall we go in?"

Yes, I think so, she walks into Trog's.

Lillah leans up against Kyrian walking around randomly.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex pauses outside for a minute and smiles to himself. He then follows Alena into Trog's.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian puts his arm around Lillah's should and holds her close as they walk.

[Eldoran]

A red cloaked figure walks the streets and stops outside the WBHA and tries the door. He finds it locked, and then notices the rune on the door, he reads it...and it goes off in his face.

"Haha, very funny. I'll just have to catch up with Hawkeye another time then..."

He wipes the soot of his robe and cloak, otherwise unharmed. He walks down the street again.

[McBish]

They continue walking around, randomly.

The mutt continues being dead, not so randomly.

[Kyrian]

((Either you're trying to hint that we find the mutt....or have no clue what to do either))

((I don't know I have no idea, I'm apparently to lazy to think of somewhere to go. The dead mutt updates are for no good reason. Just reminding people he is dead in the streets.))

Kyrian continues walking next to Lillah, holding her close.

Shall we just call it a night? Seems like there's nothing to do tonight.

[McBish]

Sounds good to me.

[Kyrian]

Sure enough, the two of managed to walk around in an entire circle and end up near home. Kyrian walks Lillah over to the door and holds it open for her.

[McBish]

Lillah walks inside.

The mutt doesn't walk anywhere since he is still dead.

[Kyrian]

Kyrian enters the house, as his player laughs at Lillah's players comments about the mutt.

[Rebonack]

((Poor Mutt, no one loves him...))

[McBish]

((I'm sure someone will come across his dead body sometime. And hopefully they will raise him.))

The mutt lies there wondering if his badge got sliced in half. But he can't check because he is dead.

[Shadow]

Shadow steps out into the street.
He was planning on asking a few questions to random passersby, but as no one is outside except a dead mutt, he just starts walking in a random direction.

[McBish]

Shea leaves Trog's and heads to the Goldshadow's.

The mutt lies on the street slowly becoming more dead.

[Rebonack]

As Regiji steps out of the tavern, the probe zipping into his pack as he does so. As he's walking down the streets toward the vacant library lot he spots something rather... disturbing.

"By the Shepherds..." Regiji dashes over to the corpse that had been split in half with laser-like precision and laying in a pool of its own blood. "It's that guy from the fight with the archer... Unfortunately I know exactly the kind of weapon that leaves a wound like this..."

"Of course you would," comes a sneer from the streets.

Regiji stands, turning to face the villain who had doubtless killed the officer.

"And you're going to kill me now too, is that right?"

"Oh no," the creature coos. "No element of surprise at the moment. Saw me coming. When you die it will be a glorious and macabre spectacle. But before I paint the streets with your blood, how about I kill off your little pals here? This is to be an example after all. The Keelak Empire does not smile on the allies of her enemies."

"Leave them out of this, monster!"

Iridaceae laughs. It's a horrible shrieking metal against metal sound.

"You're one to use such descriptions," it sneers. "You and yours have taken more lives than any other group of zealots Creation has ever seen. Once I've ensnared the souls of your friends, perhaps I will let them live through the memories of some of the Crusades. I'm sure they'll simply love you then."

Regiji's hands are tightly clenched. He doubts he can take the assassin on his own, especially in a frame not designed for intensive combat.

"I grow tiered, I'll give you some time to think..." in a blur of silver and maroon Iridaceae is standing centimeters away, its metallic skull inches from his ear. "Time to imagine all the suffering you zealots have brought on these people's heads."

Another blur and Iridaceae is gone.

Regiji sighs, slumping against the wall of the adjacent building. This certainly wouldn't end well. He gathers up the remains of Al and shifts over to the Station.

Regiji trudges back to the vacant lot near the library. He stands in the middle of it for a moment and then vanishes.

Regiji materializes inside his sanctum. He flops down in his bed and falls asleep.

"ZZZzzzz... *snort* that's no moon... zzzzz..."

[Ryohoshi]

Angelus walks out of Trog's and notices the dead dog's body. He leans down and touches it in an attempt to talk to its soul.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex appears in a swirl of fire on top of a building that he appeared on yesterday. He lies down on it and watches the sky.

After a while Alex disappears from the building and reappears outside Trog's he walks inside the tavern

[Rebonack]

Regiji awakens and stretches and goes about his morning routine. He steps onto the symbol in the middle of the floor and is promptly shifted...

...to the vacant lot near the library. Oddly enough he's carrying a wooden sign with him which he precedes to pound into the ground near the edge of the street. The sign reads:

'Not Regiji's secret sanctum. Don't bother looking here.'

He looks at the sign and then tweaks it off to the side a little bit. Satisfied with his new lawn ornament he sets off in search of adventure.

[Ryohoshi]

Angelus gives up on the dog and begins to wander.

[Rebonack]

((The Mutt's remains had been taken care of before you started to poke them last night.))

[Ryohoshi]

Angelus hides in the shadows of Trog's and begins to chant to himself. Once finished he disappears in the shadows.

[Ryohoshi]

A swarm of meteors rains down on Wukei's Bounty Hunting Agency and explodes sending bits of rock and the building flying everywhere.

[B-Man]

Kain wanders from the Docks to the streets. He walks in the middle of the street, not caring where he walks. He bumps into a total of twenty-five NPCs, twelve street lamps, and trips over five rocks before his player stops typing.

[Lord Magtok]

ESARS and SASO leave Trog's simultaneously. The android wanders into the slums, and the agent enters the police station.

[DarkSetzer]

Maliohens eyes snap open, and his "third eye" fixates itself in the direction of Wukeis Bounty Hunters. Maliohen smiles, "So you show yourself..." He stands and rushes off through the shadows.

[DarkSetzer]

Maliohen quickly snaps his head around as he is running, his target moving. He wheels about and rushes towards trogs.

[The_Librarian]

The librarian leaves the slums and enters the main streets of the town, but though she is more likely to find a friendly face than an unfriendly one here, her sword is drawn. She frowns as she looks up and down what passes for the main street and heads for Trog's. She sheathes her sword just outside the door, and then walks inside.

[Shadow]

Shadow enters town again after a long night of exploring the surrounding countryside. He makes his way to Trogs and enters.

Maliohen rushes out of trogs towards the docks, running at full speed.

[B-Man]

Kain casually ambles through the streets, getting closer and closer to Trog's, but he continually walks into stuff/people.

Verdandi sets off at a quick clip towards Trog's Tavern. Are you sure it was Aloysius?

It's the same person that attempted unsuccessfully to trash my courtroom, as she walks with Vera

Kain continues to walk aimlessly through the streets, bumping into and tripping over everything that crosses his path.

I have not heard about that. Verdandi reaches Trog's Tavern and goes inside.

I believe Kyrian and Aerin were there as well, so I imagine that Aerin would know something about it. Gwen says as she follows Vera inside.

Verdandi jogs out of the Tavern and flies to Heaven's Exiles.

[Lord Magtok]

SASO walks out of the police station, and heads over to Trog's.

[Rebonack]

A large, silver plated draconic creature materializes in the vacant lot near the library, then promptly vanishes again.

Alena lightly steps out in the streets, she waits for Alex.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex steps outside the tavern

Are you ready?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex looks at the skies, then at Alena. He smiles and nods "Yeah"

Alena sweeps him off his feet, one arm behind his shoulders, the other under his legs. She gets a running start and takes off, her wings flapping a bit more than usual, but she quickly gains altitude. Still alright?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex nods and smiles at Alena, he puts one arm around her shoulders

Alena holds him close as she gains altitude, she looks down and wonders what's going on at the beach, Look at the beach and the docks, there seems to be a fight there. I wonder why?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex looks down at the docks, he frowns "I can't see properley from up here, but I think that most of them are people I tend to avoid on general principle"

Oh, there are people you avoid? I'm happy I'm not on that list, as she looks back at him.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex grins slightly jokingly up at Alena "Course you're not on the list, then I wouldn't have my flying tickets"

Alena giggles, flying tickets? I haven't heard that one before, as they reach the colder altitudes.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex shivers a tiny bit as the air gets colder. His grip around Alena's shoulders tighten a little bit.

You still doing okay, as she settles at their current altitude

Alex nods "I'm fine...thank you" he smiles

Alex sighs contentedly, he half closes his eyes and his grip tightens again. He rests his head gently on Alena's chest.

She quietly ends the song, Don't worry, I won't drop you.

Alex looks up at Alena "It's not that, it's just..." he trails off, then sighs "I'm just so confused..."

Confused about what?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex bites his lip "I'm confused about how I feel..."

Feel about?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex looks around the sky, until he looks at Alena where his gaze remains. He bites down on his lip, is about to say something but instead yelps slightly as he draws blood.

[wxdruid]

Alena looks at him with concern, Are you okay? Do you need to go back down?

[Wukei]

Loki exits the police station and heads toward Trog's.

[Lord Magtok]

SASO leaves Trog's and heads to the police station.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex smiles embarrassedly "I'm fine, it's me and my clumsy self." he pauses before answering the second question "No, I'd prefer to remain here with you..."

I'm still curious what you're confused about?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex sighs "I've not been "alive" long, and in that time nothing has really made sense and has been chaotic at best. Now, in the last couple of days, things have started to feel at times as if they're right and how it should be..." he looks at Alena "I'm not entirely sure why that is...but I can take a good guess..."

[wxdruid]

Alena gently smiles at him, Sounds like your life has been confusing, so what's your guess?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex smiles, slightly nervously, and looks at Alena "I'm looking at my guess..."

[wxdruid]

Alena giggles and blushes as she keeps them aloft, under the starry sky. She shifts her grip, I usually don't bring anyone up here.

[Romulus]

Romulus slowly flies high in the sky. One of his wings seems bent, and he's bleeding from multiple wounds.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex sighs "...why did you bring me?"

[Admiral One]

Erdan walks out into the streets and moves towards Trog's.

[wxdruid]

Because..well because I like you, didn't you want to come?

[Romulus]

Romulus tries to heal one of his wounds, and cries out in pain as his spell backfires and explodes in his face. He rockets towards the streets and crashes into a wall, before he falls to the ground in a heap.

[wxdruid]

Alena looks around to see where the sound came from and spots Romulus' white wings in the gloom. Do you mind if we go and see if he needs any help? That crash sounded painful.

[Alex Shipmaster]

"I love this...and I..." he trails off and looks away slightly chuckling "Now I've gone right back to confused..."

[wxdruid]

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you confused. Do you mind if we go down the fast way?

[Alex Shipmaster]

"Sure, go as fast as you want"

[wxdruid]

Alena shifts him, tucks her wings back for speed and drops swiftly towards the ground, at the last moment her wings flare out and slow her momentum. Her feet lightly touch down to the ground next to Romulus. She reluctantly sets Alex on his feet and goes over to Romulus. Oh no, as she gently moves one of his wings aside. Her wings flutter as she finds his right wing underneath him at an odd angle.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex moves closer to see if he could help at all.

[AmberVael]

Verdandi comes out of Heaven's Exiles and goes to the station.

[wxdruid]

Alena turns to Alex, Will you please help me, I think he's broken his right wing. I..I can't heal him if it isn't already in the proper position. We need to lay him on his stomach. As she starts to gently move Romulus.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex nods and does what he's told to do

[Fenric]

An eerie mist puddles up on the ground, then builds into a man-sized shape. It rapidly solidifies into a man: He looks rather like Fenric, but dressed in a fancy navy shirt, green trousers, and a long grey silk cloak. Around his neck hangs a chain with an ornate family crest. His eyes glow red.

I know those two are around here somewhere... it's time they came "home".

They get him laid out, Alena gently takes Romulus' wing and sings a healing spell as she puts it back into position and it locks in and heals. She lays her hands on him as she continues to sing, healing him (as much as he wants to be healed). Finally she stands and wavers a bit on her feet.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex gets up and tries to steady Alena "You both ok?"

[wxdruid]

I..I will be, to see that, to see his wing broken. I can't imagine the pain, as she leans into him, stretching her wings out behind her, reflexivly making sure they are fine.

[DarkHunter]

Axel and Roxias saunter down the street, keeping close eye out for Kyrian. Of course, that is so they can run away fast enough should he happen to show up rather than in any actual hope of seeing him.

He's the God of War now? Can't we just go home?

And where would that be, genius? Which of our hideouts has he not already destroyed? We're only here because someone yanked us out of the past.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex nods at Alena "That looked pretty nasty..." he smiles "You can lean in on me all you like"

She gratefully puts her arms around his neck, bringing her wings around them as she regains her stability. Where should we take him, I don't like leaving him on the street.

[Alex Shipmaster]

"Do you know where he normally sleeps?"

[Fenric]

Earl Fenric steps out in front of Axel and Roxias

Just the two I was hoping to see.

[wxdruid]

Alena steps away from Alex and walks over to Romulus, I don't know, as she looks down at him.

[Alex Shipmaster]

"We could take him to the temple of Inari...I think they've got an infirmary there."

[DarkHunter]

Axel sneers

Aren't you that whiny priest guy we busted up a while ago?

Roxias looks suspicious

Axel... this one is not dressed like a priest...

Axel sneers

I'd know that silly dog face anywhere. It's that Fenric guy. Let's kill him and leave his mangy corpse for Kyrian to find.

Alena turns back to Alex, This sounds like a busy Temple, *smile* I'll take his shoulders if you'll take his feet. We'll have to carry him wings up, we don't them to drag on the ground.

[Fenric]

Axel sneers and lunges at Fenric, his chakram aimed to slice the werefox's head clean off.

"Ok" Alex picks up Romulus' feet "Err Alena, this isn't the time for it but I want to finish that sorta stop/start coversation we had up there...sometime soon."

Alena looks over Romulus' wings, as she easily picks him up, putting her arms under his shoulders. She smiles at Alex, I would like that as well. Come on, let's go and she waits for him to lead the way.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex walks over to the temple of Inari's, helping carry Romulus with Alena. He goes inside the temple.

[Fenric]

Earl Fenric dissolves into mist and the incompetant attacker ends up flopped on his belly. Immediately after, the mists of Ravenloft cover and carry the hapless Axel away. Earl Fenric turns to Roxias

All dark lords are charged with collecting... "interesting" specimines to keep things moving in the domains. You two haven't been useful in any way here in ages. But now you have your chance. It's such a shame he killed Xemnias already, but that's the way it goes sometimes.

Roxias' eyes open wide in horror as he finally understands what is going on.

He turns to flee

Loki steps out onto the streets trying to decide where to go next.

Earl Fenric merely plants a wall of mist right in front of the fleeing Roxias, with a sarcastic mocking laugh.

Roxias runs into the mist and disappears without a trace

[Fenric]

Earl Fenric turns around and looks up and down the street to see if any other victims are sauntering around heedlessly.

[Kyrian]

Loki frowns, witnessing the act. What makes you the owner of their souls?

Remus appears high above the Town.

Earl Fenric chuckles

I don't own them: I merely captured them. Their former greatness, combined with their current pathetic state puts them in the position of being... interesting... to those who run the place I am from.

Earl Fenric tilts his head and looks at Loki

He sneers. I am not so easily captured.

Earl Fenric shakes his head

Most likely not: I did get all of my memories when we were divided, Loki. I remember several fights involving you, none of which were particularly pleasant.

Earl Fenric grins

Unless you managed to recover your power from Hawkeye and Alex and Kazuki, and then spent considerable effort dispatching that particularly pernicious demon: you will be struggling here, lonely and powerless, for the remainder of this incarnation.

After that, you will go to the Ethereal Plane, where the judge will see that you have fallen below the power level to maintain godhood. Then you will be judged as a mortal and assigned a place...

Perhaps even Merant's plane. Wouldn't that be ironic?

Loki tenses and looks away. I suppose I have no choice...

Earl Fenric also looks down for just a moment

A cold, dark presence surrounds the area along with heavy mist

Our newest lord already locates our most particularly desired acquisition. Loki, to thee we make an offer unlike any in history.. we shalt create the norse lands as they were when thou wert first worshipped by the Germanic tribes. And yet it shall be thee who is the lord of that domain, if thou but willingly step into the mists.

Loki sighs, dropping his gaze. Forgive me...I'm not strong enough to be good... He slowly walks into the mist.

Earl Fenric's ears fold down

The mists surround the two, then dissapate. The street is left empty once again.

This can't be good...

A shadow disappears from a nearby alley.

Hawk strolls out from the docks, the burn on his back still smoking. He has a goofy smile painted on his face ((not literally))

[Remus]

Remus gives up his search for the night and flies off.

Kyrian appears on the rooftops and surveys the Town below him.

Alena walks out of Inari's and waits for Alex.

Alex steps into the streets just after Alena

She gestures towards the rooftops, Which one?

[Kyrian]

Kyrian smiles when he sees Alex. He leaps down and lands in the streets a little ways down.

'Lo Alex.

[Alex Shipmaster]

"You pick a good one Alena" Alex turns to Kyrian "Oh, 'Lo Ky." he looks at Alena then back at Kyrian "Can I catch up with you later Ky?"

Alena smiles and looks up at the rooftops as she waits for him to finish his conversation.

[Kyrian]

It'll be quick. I'm getting married, the 28th. I hope you can make it.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex smiles "I'm surprised it's not earlier. Yeah, I'll probably be there"

[Kyrian]

Well, I just found out from my parents that there's a lot to plan, so if I knew that before I'd have seen about earlier. But hey, you go enjoy yourself.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex blushes ever so slightly, but quickly tries to covers it up "Er, yeah Ky. I'll see you later maybe"

[Kyrian]

Kyrian laughs and quickly claps Alex on the shoulder.

He walks down the streets and shadows surround him as he vanishes.

Hawk walks out of Trog's and sees Alena. He waves to her, wearing a very uncharactertistic smile.

Alex turns to Alena with a slightly embarrassing smile on his face "Sorry about that...are you ready to go?"

Yes, as she moves to pick him up.

Alex smiles and lets himself be picked up

Alena runs to take off and takes him to the edge of Town and a two story building. She lands on the rooftop, far from any lights down below and lightly sets him down.

Alex looks at Alena and smiles "Thanks..."

Alena smiles, For a minute there I thought that the Town would attack with endless interruptions or maybe those icky tentacles.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex chuckles despite his nervousness "Stranger things have happened..."

Alena flicks her wings back, Now to finish our odd stop/start conversation?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex sighs and looks at Alena "I've been thinking pretty much harder than I've done in my life and...and I want- no need to say something to you..." he then looks at the ground "But I'm terrified of what the answer might be..."

Alena watches him, curious to what he might say, Yes?

Alex sighs and composes himself, he looks at Alena and says almost in one breath "I think I'm beginning to fall in love with you" he then almost immediately looks at the ground

Alena blushes, You are? I..I think, well I feel the same way about you, Alex. Her wings come around in a semi-circle around her as she watches him. I like being around you, I like the way you listen to me sing.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex looks up at Alena and smiles happily "I enjoy listening to your songs and being around you...I...I'm lost for words now..." he laughs "At this moment I'm the happiest I've been in my life..."

Alena smiles, At home there are so many angel-seekers, it's hard to know if someone is sincere. Here has been so different, but the way you've talked to me.....listened to me.... Alena moves closer, bringing him into the shelter of her wings.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex moves closer so he's almost touching Alena "Not many people feel close to me...and within the space of a couple of days...you've become the person I consider the closest..."

Really? I think you're handsome and smart and not afraid of heights. Her wings reach around and enclose them in a feathery darkness.

[Alex Shipmaster]

"Hmm...I think you're beautiful, charming and has got a marvelous, perfect singing voice..." Alex moves closer so he's touching Alena and puts an arm around her.

Alena blushes a bright red, hard to see in the darkness. Her heart goes pitter patter as he puts his arm around her, she shifts her wings around him.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex puts his other arm around Alena and looks at her in the eyes. He smiles and kisses her.

Alena kisses him back, hesitantly putting her arms around his neck as her wings come closer, enfolding them in a soft feathery darkness

Alex, completely relaxed, holds Alena slightly tighter and returns the kiss.

Alena finally ends the kiss, she smiles happily and hums, unwilling to move quite yet.

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex, also unwilling to move for the moment, holds Alena tight and listens to her heartbeat in complete happiness.

Alena sighs and finally her wings move back. I'm really sorry Alex, but I'm getting quite tired. I'll see you tomorrow?

((and her player needs to sleep))

Alex nods "Ok...thank you, for everything..."

((and I should get some sleep as well...))

Alena shyly smiles, Nothing to thank me for. Do you need a lift anywhere before I turn in?

[Alex Shipmaster]

Alex smiles back "Thank you, but I'd quite like to stay under the stars for a while longer..."

Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Alena steps back and lightly runs to the edge of the rooftop. She snaps her wings open as she falls. She waves goodbye as she flies out of sight.

Alex waves and watches Alena until she goes out of sight. He then smiles to himself and lies down on the building looking at the stars.

Alena alights in front of Trog's and goes inside.

Alex stands up, stretches and disappears in a swirl of fire

Murelia leaves the temple of Inari and wanders around for a while, finally finding trog's tavern

Alena walks outside into the glorious day. She lightly runs down the street and takes off into the sky. She starts to sing.

An anthropomorphic mouse wanders through the streets when suddenly she hears Alena sing, she looks up and when Alena finishes her song she starts to clap.

Alena looks down and lands lightly next to the mouse, Hello

[InaVegt]

The mouse, which has about the size of a kender (Small size in D&D terms) looks up at Alena.

Hello, miss, you've got a nice voice.

The mouse smiles at Alena.
