Further investigations about her background and mental illness? I'm not sure what you are asking ...

The way I see it, she didn't mean to hurt anybody and her biggest mistake came from ramming her car into the barriers outside the Capitol building in a fit of psychosis. This type of discussion isn't really suitable to the forum, though, at least that I'm aware of.
On a side note, it's nice to see (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SarcasmMode) that the related story about the incident in Belgium used the word 'man' with no thought about what makes up an identity, in typical journalist style. Methinks the biggest reason politics and news are a big no-no has something to do with defending us all from a huge overdose of stupid.

Strictly speaking I don't think it is, but it seems closely related to real-world politics, which the rules of posting (www.giantitp.com/forums/announcement.php?f=24&a=1) do say is off limits. This event could be discussed without bringing politics into it, but it is very likely someone would eventually cross that line.
