So I am sure that there is a simple answer but I have been rereading the series and a few days ago, read 698. (Spoilers)



The last few panels show that somebody is scrying on the Order but V had already cast familicide (sp?) by that time so it wasn't Girald. I haven't seen yet who was scrying on them. Is it ever revealed or did I miss it?

Also by Nale stating that he was scrying on the Order when he meets Elan.

But as noted the last time this was asked, it's a Loooooong time between those two events, and it's easy to forget about one when reading the other.

Yes, the scrying beacon was Zz'dtri, checking up on Elan at Nale's request. It was primarily a bit of foreshadowing that Zz'dtri was coming back, since at that point no one expected him to ever show up again. You'll note that Nale confirms that he's been keeping tabs on Elan right after Z reveals himself (both to V and the reader).The Index of the Giant's Comments links all sorts of information like this.

I seem to recall him saying that he may put a bonus strip in book 5 showing Z scrying on the order, so then the question will only be asked by people who haven't read the books...

Anyways, Giff Jeraff is lying, it was actually NerdyKris. I was scrying on NerdyKris at the same time NerdyKris was scrying on the order in 698, so I know. But nice try, Giff!
