Pathfinder - Attack Action

Does the attack action means melee or ranged?

I'm confused about the wording, sorry English is not my native language.

Attack Action would be each attack you make that you have due to high base attack bonus, right? Or due to haste or some other effect that gives you another attack action?
If that's the case, the attack action is either melee or ranged, right?

"Attack" and "attack action" mean the same thing. They can be melee or ranged, yes. (If a given attack is restricted to one or the other, it will be specified that way.)
