[PF Psionics] Drea/Metamorph gish

I was just looking through the psionic prestige classes and noticed the metamorph (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/psionic-prestige-classes/metamorph), a class focusing on the metamorphosis powers (obviously). Seems well suited to a gish, but a poor choice for a low HD, low BAB psion. Then I remembered that the dread gets minor metamorphosis on their class list. The class adds major metamorphosis as a 6th level power, so that helps, eventually. Would it be worth stacking the dread's fear aura and the new menu B option to paralyze enemies with a fear aura, or is that trick too limited?

I know the dread is considered lackluster but thought this road had potential. Am I right?
