Irregular Webcomic is ending...

And it's a sad day in webcomic land.

It was, surprisingly regular, had a unique style and some of the worst puns I have ever seen. So here's to seeing a great webcomic leave: So long and thanks for all the fish!

Is it? It didn't seem to me to be the end, and he's got who-knows how many plotlines that he's right in the middle of. Of course IW has been known to do things like that in the past, (it is irregular, after all). That being said, I will be very sad if this is the end, I only started reading it less than a month ago.

Yes, see the joke was on the reader. DMM never explicitly said that the comic was ending, he just thanked people. Also, I wonder if the whole "new project" was real or if that was made up too.

Didn't he write an annotation a while ago about a literary technique where you end a narrative then keep going for a few chapters after the end, so the reader has to actually pay attention to find the ending?
