View Full Version : Irregular Webcomic is ending...

And it's a sad day in webcomic land.

Last strip here (http://www.irregularwebcomic.net/1435.html).

It was, surprisingly regular, had a unique style and some of the worst puns I have ever seen. So here's to seeing a great webcomic leave: So long and thanks for all the fish!

Is it? It didn't seem to me to be the end, and he's got who-knows how many plotlines that he's right in the middle of. Of course IW has been known to do things like that in the past, (it is irregular, after all). That being said, I will be very sad if this is the end, I only started reading it less than a month ago.

I know... I loved this comic. I was waiting for a punch-line or "Just kidding!", but it never came... *cry*

Why do all the good comics that I hear about finsih so soon after I find them? I haven't even got half way through them yet!

People, he has updated again. Check again- he is still running the Roleplay story with Gollum and Lambert.

Wasn't he just thanking everyone?

I have no idea... I really shouldn't post when I only get 3 hours of sleep a night, thread may dissappear when things get clearer

I think the whole 'see you when my next project gets off the ground' thing was a joke.

I mean, there's a new strip up now, right?

*goes back to check in case she's lost her mind*

Yes, see the joke was on the reader. DMM never explicitly said that the comic was ending, he just thanked people. Also, I wonder if the whole "new project" was real or if that was made up too.

As I seem to recall from reading his many annotations. He's starting a new, dramatic, strip. NO mention of ending the current funny one though.

When in doubt, check the forums...

Okay, now I'm confused. Is he finishing it or not?

Ha! Now it's truly an irregular webcomic! What an awesome idea.

Well, I started reading after it 'ended', and I have to say it is irregular in its excellence! Bravo to IWC, and I'm glad it's carrying on after all!

Uhhh, he already stated somewhere in his forums that this was a New Years joke, not serious. And a good thing too, since it is one of my favorites.

Must've been the end of the hard-coded space limitations.

Or is it now an undead webcomic; duhn! duhn! duhn!

Didn't he write an annotation a while ago about a literary technique where you end a narrative then keep going for a few chapters after the end, so the reader has to actually pay attention to find the ending?

Hmm, actually yes he did.
