In Dragon 336 on page 105 the Mystic Ranger variant was released. After giving up two handed style option and animal companion followed by moving endurance and fighting style feats back a level the ranger received his reward. He received CL equal to his ranger level as 0 level spells and fifth level spells and a few additions to his spell list. Having fifth level spells by level 10 the mystic ranger was a fun and dynamic class. Now the ranger's unloved cousin will receive the same love. I give you the Mystic Paladin.
The Mystic Paladin adds Spellcraft to their list of Class Skills
The Mystic Paladin loses their special mount class feature.
The Mystic Paladin loses heavy armor proficiency.
The Mystic Paladin receives turn undead and remove diseases one level later than normal.
The Following Spells are added to the paladin list
Level 0: Cure Minor Wounds, Virtue, Resistance, Create Water, Read Magic, Detect Magic, Purify Food and Drink, Light, and Guidance
Level 1: Comprehend Languages, Shield of Faith
Level 2: Aid, Bear's Endurance, Bull's Strength, Eagle's Splendor, Hold Person, Cure Moderate Wounds, Silence, Status, Spiritual Weapon
Level 3: Cure Serious Wounds, Water Walk, Wind Wall, Invisibility Purge, Protection from Energy, Spiritual Charger
Level 4:Cure Critical Wounds, Air Walk, Freedom of Movement, Spell Immunity, Dismissal, Tongues, Dimensional Anchor
Level 5: Spiritual Cavalry, Heal, Commune, Atonement, Disrupting Weapon, Dispel Magic Greater, Righteous Might, Flame Strike, Hallow, Spell Resistance, True Seeing
The Paladin's requires a WIS score of 10+Spell's level to cast the spell. In addition the paladin receives bonus spells per day for having a high WIS score. Base Paladin spells per day are given by the table below.
