I was reading tome of battle, and i'm confused as to how you accrue maneuvers.
On the one hand it says at 4th level and every even level thereafter you can replace maneuvers with new ones
On the other hand it mentions "one you choose new maneuvers" you have to "decide" between them.
Can someone clarify how many maneuvers you can learn/ how many maneuvers you can "memorize" per day? (based on level)

For every level there are a certain # of maneuvers you know and a certain # you can have readied. When you use a maneuver it becomes no longer readied and you need to re-ready it to use it again.

In addition to the table quoted above, you are correct, starting at 4th level you can "swap out" one of your Maneuvers Known. As long as you aren't losing a prerequisite maneuver, or taking one whose prerequisites you lack, you're fine.
It's pretty sweet, even spellcasters who can swap out don't have this freedom.
