Hello, all! This is the forty-third incarnation of the LGBTAitP thread! The thread is to support, celebrate and discuss anything that falls outside the bounds of what is hetero/cisnormative.

It is first of all a support thread, and then an education thread.

If you want answers about some of the more difficult and trigger inducing aspects of LGBTA, there are a number of people listed below who can answer questions - though no one should feel like they can't post their question more publicly because of this.

Please note that although the title of the thread names only the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Asexual communities, it is intended as an all inclusive environment. Everyone is welcome. L, G, B,T, A, Q, I, A, N, V, P, R, Q, Ω, ♅, all combinations of those letters and symbols, everyone. As long as they behave themselves.

If you have a question or two about LGBTA+ matters, you can ask it here! You can ask for advice and support in here. And you can just hang out with all of the lovely people, too, if you like.

In addition, many members are willing to give private advice one on one, either through email or PM. The best way to do this is asking for PM help in thread, or else to PM one of the following people (Please note that some of these people may not be available at all times.):

Name: Especially familiar with the topic(s) of
KenderWizard: General/basics, gender and feminism, bisexuality
Musashi: General/basics, asexuality/demisexuality, depression

Partysan: PM/Skype, polyamory, pansexuality, BDSM(Off-thread or Spoiler Triggered), Rants/Venting
TaiLiu: General Transgender information, transphobia.

Some people are also willing to talk off-board, through Skype or email or other means; this is especially useful if your question involves board-forbidden topics such as religion or politics. Also, we can't (and ethically shouldn't!) give medical advice. If you need medical advice, please see a professional!

Here are the rules of this thread!

Everyone is welcome. Let's try to keep from seeming otherwise.
Keep this topic free of politics and religion. (so, don't violate the board rules, please.)
It's beyond the scope of this thread to discuss whether LGBT is "Right." (And really, most discussions probably should avoid moralizing too much anyway)
Please refrain from posting sexually explicit content. (Keep it friendly as well as board safe )
If you know something's a trigger for someone, please put it in a spoiler with a relevant tag in front of it.

Webcomics that touch on... Well, everything related to the thread.
Venus Envy. (http://www.venusenvycomic.com/) Long dead webcomic. The creator has chosen not to continue it and move forward in life.
Rain. (http://rain.thecomicseries.com/comics/first/) A story of a MtF girl in high school.
Khaos Komix. (http://www.khaoskomix.com/)As the creator puts it(from his site): "A complete GLBTWTFBBQ comic about gender and sexuality. (Trigger warnings for EVERYTHING and nothing is safe for work.)"
Always Raining Here. (http://alwaysraininghere.com/index.php/first-page/) "Adrian is heartsick, Carter is horny. This is a story about their misadventures as awkward teenagers as they fumble through unrequited romances."
Tripping over you. (http://trippingoveryou.com/comic/gmorning-sunshine/)An awkward blind date leads to better options.
Questionable Content. (http://www.questionablecontent.net/) The LGBTA characters are well done, and not stereotypes.
What's normal anyway. (http://whatsnormalanyway.net/?p=93) An FtM webcomic. Seems decent so far.
Princess. (http://the-princess.funonthe.net/) A webcomic.
Twokinds. (http://twokinds.keenspot.com/) Keveak: "It generally portrays GRSM matters positively and is quite a nice tale overall."
Misfile (Misfile.com) The Rose Dragon: "Ash is a young boy who, as a result of a screw-up in Heaven, gets stuck in a girl's body in a life he doesn't recognize, and has to deal with the changes and challenges of his new body while trying to get back his old life. I know I missed a few webcomics, and if anyone finds more, feel free to PM them to me with a brief description, and I will add them.

I know. And I prefer my hooves cloven and sharp, mesel'.

I have cloven hooves!

Translation: Yes, that is how he feels.

At the risk of straw-manning, yeah. That's exactly how it comes off. Sure, it may sound like an in-joke to people who aren't L, G (I think L and G should be stuck together under H personally, but whatev), B (which includes P), T (which is a really wide umbrella) or A, but you have to remember an important detail--this thread is made for L, G, B, T and A people, as well as anybody else who isn't included under those already broad terms but has to deal with bull**** on a daily basis just for existing. I'm not trying to be exclusive or anything, far from it, but try to remember who the 'primary audience' is, here.

I dress like this a lot; I really miss my camo cargo pants, but they've a hole in them and I haven't yet found replacements (everywhere has summer stock out already, it's a pain). I usually wear 'women's cut'/'babydoll cut' t-shirts (well, it's how ThinkGeek describes them), almost always geek or NaNoWriMo related.

I do, however, have two fairly large signifiers of femininity attached to my front, so I don't come across as gender-neutral.

Just go to an Army Surplus store. ****'s expensive for pants (although not as bad as those 'designer' pants) but it's worth it. As for 'babydoll' and womens' cut shirts...everyone just gets mad at me and yells at me to get rid of them, so. Yeah.

ION, hooray for new thread! That subtitle should be a good compromise for everybody involved.

Also my new shirts are so comfy, it's great. :D

Yay! New thread!

I feel the inclusion of the A in the title is not worth the implied exclusion of everyone else that doesn't fit in. Either you accept that LGBT is all-inclusive beyond what the letters stand for, or you have to keep adding letters for everyone who wants it. I choose the former for simplicity (not being either L, G, B, T or A).

Personally, I think the A is totally fine. I mean, if L, G and B(pan-inclusive for simplicity) are in there, then A should be too, cos it's a completely valid sexuality. It's kind of jarring when we're excluded, cos in my experience, people do tend to dismiss our sexuality. I mean, if I go tell a random person I'm asexual, they tend to think that it's not a thing, that it's just a trauma*. So it's more than a little jarring to be excluded from sexuality minorities.

I know that in the past, the A was not there. I also know that when it was added, I felt MUCH more welcome and validated and it was great. It also came when I was having an especially hard time in life and it made me smile and feel so much better and I am really, really thankful for its inclusion.

EDIT: As for the subtitle, I disagree with it being friendly to newcomers. I am not even a newcomer, having been around since the first thread (even if not consistently), and the subtitles always feel more like an in-joke I'm not in on rather than something inviting.

And for me, it's been the other way around. I love the subtitles. They're amusing. I don't care if I don't really know where they came from. I like to see them and I like to wonder where they came from. I love seeing the titles in the Random Banter thread, too. They make the threads feel more... casual, I guess. And more unique. But that's just me.

*Yeah, I was once in a car with a friend and his family and I dunno how the subject of sexuality came up, but his mom, who claims to be a sexologist and stuff (and I guess she knows her straight stuff), kept going on about how deviant gay people are, how it's completely the result of perversion due to overpopulation, and how all gays like little boys (and pass on the gay that way) and how all lesbians are rapists. And then she went on saying that asexuals don't exist. That anyone who claims to be an asexual is just lying and is simply traumatized because they have been raped and/or sexually harassed, because there's just no other way they'd CHOOSE such an unnatural sexuality. Needless to say, I was very quiet that trip and very upset after that.

As someone who considers himself part of the "anybody else who isn't included", I don't really feel like I'm the primary audience in this thread. I feel like an outsider. Granted, the only person who gives me crap about it is me because I choose to be uncomfortable with myself to avoid crap from others, so maybe I deserve to be an outsider.

While propriety and probably law prevent me from remarking directly on the image in question, I believe that onlookers find their desire not dissimilar from the desire to bite into the rosy flesh of a watermelon ripened in the effulgence of the July sun.

Watermelon, you say? *passes the salt*

Quite unseasonable for the autumn, yes. Ah well, at least there's an excuse to still be sitting on the porch, sipping sweet tea, watching the frolicking and foibles of youth, eh? *pours another glass from the pitcher* :smallamused:

I know. And I prefer my hooves cloven and sharp, mesel'.

That's what I thought you were doing, but really, you've seen how easy it is for something to be taken the wrong way.

Much more useful for smiting that way. :smallamused:

Indeed, let it never be forgotton, that I am an ass. *facepalm*

Object permanence is awesome. It makes for a great D&D setting; remove object permanence as a thing, and fill the world with fog. Only the perceived persists.

Um. Does that make me the old lady of the thread? I'm 30. I can't recall if anyone said they were older last time we did this.

NaNoWriMo, eh? Sweet.

It took me entirely too long to grok that.

I don't think so. Of people who are around regularly-ish-anymore, maybe?

Huh. I suppose babies become people the same way cats become people; I look at them and they show some measure of activity. >_<

Babies are tiny wrinkled discolored potato beasts who excrete mucal fluids and bellow colored streaks of noise pollution like a dragon breathes fire, making messes and then rolling in them.

This of course also describes kittens, except kittens have more fur and stop rolling in poop slightly sooner (if you're lucky). So babies are kittens!

I suppose that makes a certain amount of sense, yeah. :smallamused:

That's probably the best description of babies I've heard in a while. XD

Your reasoning is impeccable as always. :smallcool: *slowly turns in his swivel chair, petting a baby* "And now, Mr. Bond, you will watch this fully operational dancing shaku robot steal the United Nations."

Heh. Swiss. SiuiS. Swiss SiuiS. I wonder what flavor of hot chocolate that would be? :smallamused:

Whoops, sorry Coid; I was replying in a hurry else I would have spoilered my original reply.

I find it kinda hard to relate to babies, although I do love my niece and nephew to bits. To be honest sometimes I think my cats are more relatable than some humans. But then I'm biased.

Ah, no need to apologize. I flubbed that line anyway. Meant to say that I don't really have an issue where it's discussed, but I still think it's a tangent and probably a sillily large one. Tangents and Spoiler Tags go together like bread and butter in my mind. XD

Yeah, I mostly thought they were easily broken human-shaped monstrosities until I encountered some that I was related to, and even then with my cousins I mostly was just scared of breaking them because I was, like... a pre-pubescent or pubescent child. After I got over the fact that his parents should never have met, let along sprogged, I became quite fond of my nephew, though I still don't see him as a people yet, despite being around 7 months old now and having somehow earned the nickname Coalzor around these parts. I still sometimes just call him "the baby" or "it" though, which mostly serves to amuse me now.

Not sure how much I can analyse the equivalent value of a Methuselah in years without breaking thread rules. Is it okay to talk about mythology from upwards of four thousand years ago, or does that break the no religion rule?

Methuselah lived to 969, so 969*0.045 is... 43.605. I don't think you're right, SiuiS. I really don't think Mynxae is in his 40s.

Ah, no. I meant that was the unit of she to be considered "old", not that was Mynxae's age.

And I thought common understanding was "old guy who lived for a millennium"? I was angling for 45.

Not sure how much I can analyse the equivalent value of a Methuselah in years without breaking thread rules. Is it okay to talk about mythology from upwards of four thousand years ago, or does that break the no religion rule?

It's as valuable as measuring shipping/romance via millilixies; ie what's to analyze? Sideways reference to roughly one thousand. Point-oh-four-five that is forty five years. Think too hard, you blink and miss it.

As there keep being discussions about how much alphabet soup we should allow into the title, why not just put a + on the end?

When I was making the LGBTIAQ+ Wrimos (https://www.facebook.com/groups/lgbtiaqwrimos/) FB group that's why I put the + ... and I've just realised I left out the P, which is pretty egregious considering I often ID as P in one way or another.

Just go to an Army Surplus store. ****'s expensive for pants (although not as bad as those 'designer' pants) but it's worth it. As for 'babydoll' and womens' cut shirts...everyone just gets mad at me and yells at me to get rid of them, so. Yeah.

OMFG, I can't believe I didn't think of that. I work just around the corner from one and was in there the other day buying a backpack and I still didn't think of it. Duh! Thanks for the mind-jog, I will go look today.

I don't think you deserve to be an outsider, but I also am not 100% sure how we can make the thread more inclusive for you in particular. Would a + in the thread title help? Another letter? I mean, I'm not the final arbiter of these things (although I do look forward to the day when I'm around at the right time to be a thread starter), but discussing what people need to feel included is the best way to make it happen.

NaNoWriMo, eh? Sweet.

It took me entirely too long to grok that.

I don't think so. Of people who are around regularly-ish-anymore, maybe?

Heh. Swiss. SiuiS. Swiss SiuiS. I wonder what flavor of hot chocolate that would be? :smallamused:

Given that I spend a lot of time (a loooot of time) over on Tangency on RPG.net, I can sometimes be bad at judging when a thread has drifted, 'cause it's kind of standard there.

I think I know the answer to this question already.

I saw a dating site the lets you pick: Male, Female, or Trans. You have to pick one and the Trans isn't M->F or F->M, just 'Trans'. What do you pick? Your identified gender?

The Rose Dragon
2013-10-10, 04:43 PM
Depends on the wording. If it asks "gender", specifically, I'd either look for "N/A", or simply give up on the site right then and there. If "sex", I'd choose male, or simply give up on the site right then and there.

MrDirt

I don't remember specifically which one it called for. There was no N/A, it was one of those where one (and only one) had to be checked. It was on 4chan, they were talking about it for another reason.

I was supposed to start HRT a month ago but my therapist forgot to fax a letter to my doctor. I think it was a sign to stop pursuing being out and transgender and just repress it all again. It was fun lurking I guess, but I need to stop seeing queer things if I'm not doing it anymore.

And yes, tips, very much. Step 1 of priority 1 will be "Obtain the necessary equipment", though. The infinite quantity of products and brands make that difficult.

First, your posture is already feminine and super cute, clothes too. So that's a good start

Now a few things you could try:

Plucking your eyebrows would probably help a lot. I have problems with mine too and was a bit surprised as to how much they affect the overall impression. I'm still in the process of learning how to do it right though, so i can't really give any tips for that.

Since your next priority is makeup you should be able to conceal your beard shadow quite a bit. I'm no expert in this (you can still see mine when i wear makeup) but there's a little trick that supposedly makes it easier (i'm not sure if it works for me): Use an orange lipstick on areas with beard shadow before applying makeup. Not too much though ^^

And i found (at least for me) that a ponytail doesn't look as feminine as other hairstyles. You could experiment a bit there, i just wear my hair down. Specifically, covering the ears is one thing that may or may not make a difference.

I think everyone here who's on HRT at the moment has had delays. I did, I know Lena had all sorts of troubles that went on for months so I'm afraid to say that while there will be setbacks it's just a sign I think it's a sign that bureaucracy is a pain and/or you need a therapist who doesn't suck (if this sort of thing happens regularly) :smallfrown:

Useful makeup video on trans foundation techniques (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPySlqC0mDk). Lisa Eldridge's videos are really good too (http://www.youtube.com/user/lisaeldridgedotcom/videos) for selecting what makeups and such.
Main thing is finding a makeup that suits your skin type and colour. Though be aware that I had oily to normal skin but since I've been on HRT it's gone to normal to dry so may change over time.

Also as a personal update things got worse and I spent some time in hospital and saw a psychiatrist and am going to be getting ongoing help now.

Edit: Lauren, I'm 31 next year so we can be old together.

Thats a terrible interpretation. You should pursue the doctor for being lax in something medically relevant and go the other direction! Don't let complacency on part of someone who isn't actually feeling an impetus-giving sensation look like anything other than a man with his butt on a cushion.

Sure, if you dont mind doing it through PM's since im on my phone right now, I'll get on Mibbit later as I do everyday but that'll be in quite a few hours and I really dont think you want to wait that long, I'm fine with either method though.

How do we even know unicorns are related to ponies, and not goats? They even have beards and horns like goats.

So, I'm being anxious about maybe (hopefully) hearing something from the therapist today. It's effectively distracting me from doing what I'm supposed to do.

Instead I'm keeping occupied with stupid short story writing.

I was supposed to start HRT a month ago but my therapist forgot to fax a letter to my doctor. I think it was a sign to stop pursuing being out and transgender and just repress it all again. It was fun lurking I guess, but I need to stop seeing queer things if I'm not doing it anymore.

Sometimes things get delayed. Don't give up, keep trying.

For my birthday (today) I got a dress, a padded bra, some nice jewelry (ring, necklace, bracelet), a hairband, and even girly underwear.

(I also got books, sweets and money, but meh.)

Anyway, happy! I also look really pretty in my feminine regalia, although because the dress is tight but stretchy, it's extremely awkward when something turns me on...:smallredface:

Still, I'm happy. Hope you guys are happy too.

Happy belated birthday.

Ooo, New thread.

Hello people. I'm happy; was at my Students Union yesterday to propose a motion against developments by our university, and it passed completely unanimously. Everyone is celebrating here because of how soundly we destroyed the representatives the university sent to argue against us.

Does anyone need hugs?

Would anyone be willing to talk with me about a non-lgbt matter in Private or on our Mibbit? I trust you guys to have good advice, and respect confidentiality.

I don't think it is a conspiracy, but there might be some truth to the whole gatekeeping thing. Hormone therapy is rather involved, after all, and the doctors probably want to make absolutely sure it is the right course of action to take before going through with it.

Then again, considering reversal of vaginoplasty is apparently a thing, some people must still slip through the cracks from time to time.

I don't think you should understand it like that...

Lies! Only a vampire could look that good!!!
I don't believe you

I will try that. We shall see...

And i found (at least for me) that a ponytail doesn't look as feminine as other hairstyles. You could experiment a bit there, i just wear my hair down. Specifically, covering the ears is one thing that may or may not make a difference.
Just letting my hair go as they wish really, really bugs me. They get stuck in my bag's straps, or in my headphones, or elsewhere. But most importantly, I can't stand having hair around my ears.

Thanks for the makeup tips. I think I'll want to find someone IRL to help me on this, because I have no idea if my skin is oily or not...

Otherwise, good luck, I hope it will go well for you. If you want, I have above average experience about mental health (...) and some of the complex processes thereof, so you can PM me.

Also, I feel like I need a general name to reference me as a whole, rather than as a sum of my parts. Ehh, I'll think of one.

~Antony~

Well, what about Jor or Jormengand? Like, presumably you picked that for a reason? I go by Kender here, from my forum name, even though my real name is Emily.

Oh, I got an address for laser from a friend of mine. It's really close by and it's at the university's dermatology department. Now I just need to work up courage to make an appointment. (I'm also not sure what name to make it under.)

Also my new shirts are so comfy, it's great. :D

Good luck! If it's attached to the university, I'd say make it in the name under which you're registered? Or if you'll be using a medical card or insurance or something, use the name that's registered under. Or put down both, like I go by a different name to my birth name, so I often use "[first name] [other first name] [surname]".

I was supposed to start HRT a month ago but my therapist forgot to fax a letter to my doctor. I think it was a sign to stop pursuing being out and transgender and just repress it all again. It was fun lurking I guess, but I need to stop seeing queer things if I'm not doing it anymore.

No, that is not a sign. It might be a sign to yourself that you're nervous, and part of you would be relieved if something came in and prevented you from going through transition, because change is scary, and sometimes it seems like it's easier to stick with the crap we have rather than work to change it. And sometimes it is easier, but it's usually not worth it. You are worth working for. There's a lot that's hard about making big life changes, but it's worth making the changes we need in our lives, rather than just repressing who we really are. Stay strong. And give out to that therapist.

Also as a personal update things got worse and I spent some time in hospital and saw a psychiatrist and am going to be getting ongoing help now.

Then again, considering reversal of vaginoplasty is apparently a thing, some people must still slip through the cracks from time to time.

The problem is that basically all the dissatisfaction people have after transitioning is due to losing of social connections, people's bigotry and stuff like that.

And while the goal might be noble, the execution is often very horrible and incredibly gender-policing, especially for trans women. (Not to mention that a lot of trans healthcare doesn't even acknowledge non-binary people, or people who don't want bottom surgery, or people who don't express conventionally enough, etc.... )

Also, Sabeki being so extremely hyperadorable (Can I hug you? I wanna hug you...) reminded me of a little smile I wanted to share with you all:

Now I was at a fair (Fränkisches Volksfest Crailsheim) because my grandfather had been telling me to go for about a decade (he lives there) and since my grandmother can't go anymore, we went. So I am absolutely not the type for these things, loved them as a child but I tend to find them very phony traditional and conservative and generally uncomfortable.
On the fair a lot of people were wearing traditional garb known even to non-Germans (dirndl for women, lederhosen for men) but, there was a little girl, elementary school or even preschool, wearing the boy's garb. It was really cute, the heavily gendered garb all around and a little girl in lederhosen. Way to break the mold, little one!

As many scholars have said, the difference between historical Fine Arts, Litterature and Myths on the one hand and historical sexual or scatological jokes and porn on the other hand is very small.

Just google "marginalia" for medieval examples (NSFW). Yes, whatever images you will see might be from a Bible.

While I can't remember hearing about any specific incidents, I'm afraid that this sounds realistic. Though I think it's less "Harassing the waitresses is part of the Volksfest experience, we need it to attract customers." and more like "Don't want to get harassed by drunk men? Feel free to quit, there are enough people who want that job." AFAIK, serving in a tent at the big fairs pays quite well.

My supervisor at my clinical rotations site is married to another woman, and they have some lovely kids. I like seeing people in happy marriages: It also made a difference to two of my friends who couldn't get a green card until recently with regards to their marital status (one of them was from New Zealand). It feels really good to know that the progress of the past several years isn't just some abstract thing, and to put a human face on things (naturally my face, not being human, doesn't count).

Sorry, hope it's not too political...

I think I've chosen a name

Caroline. (Ideally, pronounced as in French, with the "a" as in "bat" and in with the "i" as in "fin", not as in "base" or "rise".)

But Adélaïde is a close second. I might choose that, and like it as much, but it is much rarer. And somehow, it sticks less to me.

EDIT: This is under the consideration that I already have a cousin named Catherine...

Ah, I like them - the first because it is fanciful, the second because it is unpronounceable. Why did you choose them?
Where I live, the first is a very unoriginal name and the second is far from frequent, but very pronounceable :smalltongue:

Caroline is a stock French name, so it needs not explanation. I like how it sounds -- with two liquid consonants, a velar plosive + "a" in the beginning and a "i" + consonant ending. However, it is a feminized version of a masculine name (derivatives of Carolus > Charles, Karl) which has the sad meaning of "man, free man" (as in Nordic huskarl). It is often shortened to Caro, which loses the ringing ending. For some reason, it feels appropriate anyway.

Adélaïde has similar characteristics, except that it's very rare and original. Soundwise, again an "a" at the beginning and a "i" + consonant ending, in addition to one liquid consonant and a hiatus (bonus points for the diaeresis). Contrary to Caroline, it is a full, autonomous female name, with a very interesting etymology: adal, "noble" (it gave the German Adel, the Anglo-saxon name Æthelred) + -heid (cf. the suffixes -hood or -heit in German, my favorite suffix with the latin equivalent -tas > it. -tà, fr. -té, sp. -dad, eng. -ty, ger. -tät in loanwoards). Still, it is a bit long at 4 syllables, and I dislike all the shortened forms I can imagine (Adèle, Adé, Ada, Adi, Laïde... Meh.).

On the importance of pronunciation, other contenders were Catherine (velar plosive + a, 1 liquid consonant, i + consonant ending), Gabrielle (velar plosive + "a", 2 liquid consonants, hiatus in French, "el" ending), Anaïs (starts with "a", hiatus, i + consonant ending). All were eliminated for other reasons. In any case, neither Gabrielle nor Anaïs are as good as the others. I would really like Catherine, I always felt something special towards that name, but a cousin of mine is named Catherine.

Other candidates were eliminated because I don't want to choose a name out of my personal interests: e.g., Daria (see avatar), Elanor (Samwise Gamgy's daughter and a flower of Lothlorien), Miriel (mother of Feänor). Still, Adélaïde is sort of Tolkienesque -- it means "nobility", whereas Arwen's name is ar-, "noble", and wen, "maiden" (cf. Eärwen, "sea-maiden", or my first D&D character Melwen, "loved maiden").

EDIT:

Adelaide is one of the more disappointing Australian cities...

As a person's name I don't actually mind it, but it will have certain connotations if you ever go to Australia.
I knew the city, not the disappointment. Gladly, going to Australia is not in my plans.

The difference of pronunciation between French and English is pretty noticeable, too.

^ That is adorable.

All right.

After doing the research, I am convinced that Jormungandr is a norse sex joke. I mean, a giant snake whose name means "Mighty rod"? Really now?

Yep, that's pretty damning evidence.

Yeah, neither of those are good attitudes to have. I hate when people think they can take advantage of workers due to economic forces making their job popular. Like "unskilled labour" jobs in times of high unemployment, or modelling jobs for teenagers.

Chapter 1 (http://www.kongregate.com/games/Pseudolonewolf/mardek-rpg-chapter-1?acomplete=mardek)

Chapter 2 (http://www.kongregate.com/games/Pseudolonewolf/mardek-rpg-chapter-2?acomplete=mardek)

Chapter 3 (http://www.kongregate.com/games/Pseudolonewolf/mardek-rpg-chapter-3?acomplete=mardek)

Great games, but make sure to have a week or so set aside if you want to get everything in chapter 3. (Your save automatically carries over between chapters.) (Ch. 1 takes 30 minutes to an hour, Ch. 2 takes 7-8ish hours, Ch. 3 takes 30-50 depending on how thorough you are.)

Edit: took a bit of a look. Site is up. Email this guy, maybe? mailto:[email protected]

Thank you, I've emailed them and hope they can/will help

I use skype with Moonwolf too, but we mainly use that IRC, partially because we have C'nor and other friends there

I still need to find a more sensible, but not necessarily name-y, name for me overall. Excessive replaying of the MARDEK games suggests Legion (for we are many!)

Today was apparently "buying frenzy day": I bought some tweezers and new hair ties.

I will eat bread and pasta for the next three weeks, apparently.

Nice! Are you going to take addition photos [in new environments]?
I have few new environments. But I could ask the LGBT group people to take them

(OK, I just committed to 1) go there again this week 2) in girl clothes and 3) to have my picture taken.)

That's awesome! And, from what I've seen, clashing is in. At least, in some ways. Anyway, I'm sure they look fabulous!!!
The shoes are very nice. They are Converse look-alikes, with many many colours weeeeeeee! (I feel much more colourful since my gender epiphany  In general, I feel much better with the idea of having a physical body.) But the skirt is more formal, or something. It's plain red and greatly hampers my mobility. I think it's this kind of skirt: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pencil_skirt

Anyway, it just isn't the same style, I think...

But the shoes work fine with my girly pants.

Another problem I foresee is: hair on forearm. Brrrrrr...

I feel that Caroline and Catherine are different enough for there to not be any confusion. As another Australian I do balk a little at Adélaïde.
It's more that if I didn't have a cousin named Catherine, I would have taken that name.

Legion sounds like a nice name to me, nice to say and symbolic. ^_^

I have no clue what the biblical implications would be, though, as I only know it as a latin word (from legere, to gather) describing a group of soldiers or just a large group. Then again, I learnt it from Astérix, so I may have missed something between 55 BCE and now. :3

I have a lot of friends say that. Thing is, I can't explain to my family WHY I'm annoyed if not angry about these "introductions"

Would just saying that you feel very uncomfortable with being pushed to do things or having your love life orchestrated by your family not work? It seems very plausible to be very uncomfortable with that to me, but I don't actually have family members who give a hoot about my lack of interest in dating, so... ^_^'

gods I am really starting to lose hope that I will ever find a partner. :smallfrown:

Don't, there are 7 billion people in the world and we meet new ones all the time. Those new ones can even lead to meeting even more new ones or to new venues with a thousand new opportunities. Even just getting older or more experienced with a venue could mean new opportunities to meet people. The likelihood that you will never find anyone to partner up with among so many is quite minute.

Granted, a lot of people are meanie meanfaces who are mean, so it can be really exhausting to look for long, but it's still very much likely that you do find someone if you keep up hope. ^_^

As far as I can gather, "legio" and its descendants have only been used for the Roman military unit, for other types of military units with references to Rome, for large groupes of Biblical figures (angels or demons) -- this is most likely an acception for which we must thank St. Jerome--, or to refer figuratively to large groupes of people.

Yeah, I can see what you mean. Women with Mediterranean heritage tend to have dark forearm hair (I recently asked one Italian friend why our society insists she shave her legs but arm hair doesn't matter), but it's still not all that much hair. Compared to my arms, which are fairly hairy, it's barely anything.

I cheesed my way through Animus by pumping Elwyen's SPR all the way to 99 by various buffs, and then just had her continuously play Runic Rhapsody. Since all of Animus' damage is magic-based, it's damage dropped to single-digits, allowing me to take it apart at my leisure.

Nifty is as nifty does. And a beloved article of clothing is always a useful tool, especially if it looks good instead of being a ratty hoody from the age before mankind or something. XD

Well, if you like swimming, you can always get more into it and use that as a convenient explanation for keeping your body hairless, maybe? :smallconfused:

And, hey, it's good exercise too, and I hear it has a nice effect on shaping one's thighs and posterior. :smallwink:

I didn't think people paid that much attention to arm hair when they were reading someone as a guy. :smalleek: At least, not past the age of 12-14 when just having secondary-sex characteristics was enough to impress the guys.
