I've decided that I'm finally going to just do it and take Dragon Wildshape on my Planar Shepherd. I can already turn into some pretty vile things, but why not turn into a dragon too?

Since I'm taking the Draconomicon version, it limits me to Small and Medium Dragons, but since the game is Pathfinder, but allows anything from 3.5, I figure I could find some pretty foul dragons to turn into.

Are there any overly, horridly, powerful dragons outside of the general Red, Blue, Green, Brass, Gold, etc, etc?

Within those size restrictions? I don't think so. For straight up combat power, larger animal forms (preferably with a nice template from your Planar Shepherd plane) are still better. The main thing you get from Dragon Wild Shape is a lot of utility - since you get Extraordinary and Supernatural qualities with it, you can enjoy things like dragon's inherent Blindsense, immunities, and a Copper Dragon's always-on (Ex) Spider Climb ability.

Edit: But make sure you check with your DM about how that's actually going to work, because 3.5 Wildshape and Pathfinder Wildshape are very, very different abilities. 3.5's Dragon Wild Shape feat as written just doesn't *work* with Pathfinder's Wildshape.

Force Dragons and Prismatic Dragons from the Epic Level Handbook are always fun

Epic Dragons start at Huge and only go up from there (yes, even Wyrmlings) so my guess is that they are off-limits for this.

as I have stated for previous posts about this game, as long as it has been printed, I can use it

actually just found a Large Force Dragon, but that's a size too large, sadly

I'll keep the search on, but suggestions and resources are highly appreciated

Fang dragons have better damage, trip, and a Con draining bite. Tarterian Dragons have freedom of movement as a Su. Shadow Dragons have total concealment in anything but full daylight and an energy draining breath weapon. They're also small enough that you can become a young adult, complete with Frightful Presence. Hex dragons(DR 343) get to inflict SoLs on attackers and have Con poison breath weapon. Tome dragons (DR 343) give free metamagic. Pan and Li lungs have some very nice Su abilities.

You did? Are you sure? ELH:

Epic dragons share all the combat characteristics of standard dragons. Even wyrmling epic dragons are Huge, however, and are capable of making tail sweep and crush attacks.

And both tables start at Huge too.

I may live though this next encounter yet :D

And yes, Psyren, I looked at the core and they do start that size, but the resource I found, which I tossed because they were Large, had them that small, wasn't core so that's probably why
