The Dead Linger : Ultimate Zombie Sandbox game

I just saw an add for this game still in Alpha, and I was wondering if anytong tried it.

I gotta say, I find this quite intriguing. Current price is a mere 20$ on Steam, and I am quite tempted. I like survival/sandbox games, and the Zombie genre has always been a fun setting I've wanted to play in.

Only problem I have, so far, is the lack of other survivors with whom you can team up, or fight against. (Since survivors is the single most important elements of Zombie Apocalypse, beside the zombies). However, their roadmap (http://www.thedeadlinger.com/roadmap)clearly indicate they have this planned as a future development.


I believe I will cough up the 20$, even if it'S for limited gameplay at the moment. That sort of project, especially with planned multiplayer, is going to have so much potential.

So I failed my will save and purchased participation in the alpha.

Man, this game is buggy. The world feels empty. The graphics have a hard time processing at times..

...and yet... woah. The atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. Even when there isn't any zombies around, you just feel the.. weight of the moment. You enter houses, and hope not to stumble on a walker. You just open doors, and make sure you aren't going to ge ambushed..

Eventually, you start making it way too casually... You get careless. You rush into a house and find yourself face to face with one of them! Oh god, I don't have the space to kite. I try to open the door but I'm too nervous to do it properly. He's getting closer. Why the **** do I only have a hockey stick in close quarters?! DIE MUTHER****ER!! DIEEE!!!

....woah, that was a close one...
