First, thank you to everyone who answered my earlier questions (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=307225).

I decided to sign up for Steam, but upon trying to start a game I just downloaded, I got an error message saying:
//-------------------------- 10/11/2013 -- 19:17:22 -----
exec: Invalid script file ./prefs.cs

I looked over the website to find a new driver to update my OpenGL to 1.2 or higher, but I'm worried I'll install the wrong thing and screw my system up.

Could someone kindly take the time to find the proper driver and online location and post them for me?

Thank you. I found the forum link that Google search brings one to (http://www.opengl.org/discussion_boards/showthread.php/163749-Where-do-I-download-openGL-1-2-or-higher), but it didn't help me identify the proper driver for my graphics card. I'm rather ignorant about these, so I was hoping someone could give me a link to the proper driver itself.

I don't want to download and install the wrong driver & cause something to go wrong. (I'm also ignorant of whether or not that's a risk.)

From Speccy, it looks like I have ATI Radeon HD 4250, but I didn't find any ATI Radeon drivers with that number beside them.

Edit: as an additional note, I am using Windows 8 on a desktop PC (i.e., normal computer.)

Edit 2: after looking around more, I found what looks like the right driver (http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/catalystlegacywin8.aspx). I think I'm going to go on and download & install it. If anyone reading this knows I'm making a big mistake, please let me know. :smallsmile:

Looks good. Just bear in mind the "latest" ATI drivers may not necessarily work well, because ATI is just bad at releasing bug-free drivers.
