What overall, is the big deal with the spellwarp sniper prc, I understand it sometimes lets you avoid reflex saves, but if you did something like fireball into a ray, it would still not have a AOE affect on the area t hits right?

Since it cuts the save off, it makes a lot of spells much better. The loss of AOE is no biggy compared to that. Not hitting your buddies is also great. In general attack roll spells are easier to optimize.

Add on Eldritch Theurge, and you can also cut the SR by making it into conjured acid.

Plus it makes Wings of Flurry one of the best spells in the game.

Wait, snowbluff, how do you cut the SR exactly?

*shakes head* Read it more carefully. The target has to fail a save to be dazed.

Normally such abilities read as "Saving negates the effect." Wings of Flurry is a real oddball. Spellwarping removes the only save, making the daze effect inaccessible.

Warlocks get an Essence Invocation called Vitriolic Blast, which manifests as conjured acid and removes SR.

ETs have an ability called Eldtritch Spellweave, which allows you to add an Essence to a melee or ranged touch spell as a full action. Vitriolic Blast deals damage, so it only works on damaging spells...

Spellwarped Frost Breath: No-save daze for 1 round. Quicken it to dazelock someone while you beat on their friends.

While that's a valid reading, it would also mean that a spellwarped WoF only ever does half damage, because it only deals full damage on a failed save. I'm as close to certain as reasonably possible that's not RAI, and not entirely sure it's RAW, either.

It also says the targets have to succeed a save to take half damage.

This spell is not something you should spellwarp. It's just got all of the wrong words, by RAW.

No save daze-locking anything to death if you get even a single round at level 9 probably isn't RAI either.

You also get sneak attack added to spells (like fireball) that don't normally have it. If you're worried about AoE use Split Ray.
