The forum rules state that posts dealing with;

Real-world politics (including political reactions to gaming)
Graphic violence
Illegal drugs
Illegal/Criminal activity
Explicit sexuality

Are against forum rules and subject to penalties/banning. However, what is the position in relation to in-character posts made in pbp games on this forum?

The same. (Violence is permissible, but not overly graphic depictions. Sexuality is alright if kept to ~PG-13 levels, erring on the side of caution. And so forth)

...Though it may be a little more lax with regards to in-game illegal activity (i.e. stealing the Holy Trinket from the reliquary of the Temple of That Antagonistic Deity or whatever)...

Sheriff: In-character in a PbP, real world religion and politics don't exist. You are discussing the fictional Catholic Church or U.S. President. Just make sure it doesn't spill into the OOC or any real world discussion. Getting into an OOC discussion of "the U.S. President doesn't actually have that power..." would violate the Forum Rules.

All the others, there's a rule of reason involved. Obviously, assaulting the Keep on the Borderlands or infiltrating the Sabbat headquarters might involve some violence. Don't focus on or fetishize the crimes, violence, or sexuality. Don't explicitly spell out how to commit crimes, make drugs, or commit violence in real life, and do keep to a generally PG-13 level of description. Be more general or fade to black when needed to indicate that X happened without being explicit about it.

And, as always, when in doubt, leave it out.
