Hey ya'll.

I've been slamming my head against the Dread (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/dread) class, with the Nightmare Constructor (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/dread/archetypes/dreamscarred-press/nightmare-constructor) archetype for a while now, and I can't figure out what a good build would be. I've considered making it mounted, with the standard Ride feats and eventually going for Dazzling Display (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/dazzling-display-combat), but, with no bonus feats, the combination would take forever to start being useful.

I've also considered dropping the mounted aspect, but that still leaves the class quite MAD. I'd need Strength to be able to get any good hits in, Dexterity so I'm not left with a gimped AC thanks to Light Armor proficiency, Constitution for obvious reasons, as well as Charisma to make use of the class' Psionic abilities. I could always try going for Dervish Dancer to reduce MAD, I suppose...

So, I'm going to ask for your help. Does anyone have any advice or tips for building a Nightmare Constructor who can contribute well in Melee, Intimidating alongside their Horror?

The restrictions are that the race must be Elan, it's a 25 Point Buy, and two traits are allowed. Otherwise, anything Paizo or Dreamscarred Press goes. Ideally, it could be used from level 1 through to 20.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The simplest way to be a decent melee combatant is a two-handed weapon+power attack+max strength. Remember that armor doesn't interfere with manifesting, so you could potentially pick up Medium Armor Proficiency and keep Dex a little lower. Something like Str>Cha=Con>Dex>Wis>Int could work. If you're starting at level 3 or higher, you could start with both of those feats.

The Horrible Strike terror can also help boost your damage, if you're willing to pump some PP into it, but remember that you don't have the most enormous PP pool (though the Elan favored class bonus can help with that), and your swift actions are very precious.
