I only have the 3rd edition books etc, can't afford to upgrade to 3.5 yet.

I was wondering if someone could answer a question please.

Has animal empathy been replaced with something else in 3.5 or removed?

It isn't in a 3.5 based game I've just started playing and I was wondering if that was the game's decision or if it isn't around anymore.

Thanks. :smallsmile:

www.d20srd.org for most of your 3.5-question needs. Animal Empathy, the skill, is now Handle Animal, sort of. Druids and Rangers have Wild Empathy, which lets them make charisma checks to get animals to do stuff.

And NWN2 is nice ;)

NWN2 and D&D 3.5? There's a superficial resemblance, but all the bits of the rules that you can actually see (skills, feats) are entirely wrong.

Temple of Elemental Evil is better. Neverwinter Nights 2 has hardly anything to do with actual D&D.

It is a great game, though. It's like KotOR2, Baldur's Gate 2, and the first NWN all wrapped into one bundle. (And topped off with a horrible UI, unfortunately. I mean horrible. I mean it sucks. I want the original NWN UI back, damnit.)

UI = user Interface?
Well actual DnD is on a table with real people, right?

Yes and yes. Although it's hard to find a DnD group round my area so I play online.

Wow people guessed the game from the little info I gave hehe. I played NWN1 and really got into the multiplayer; I'm hoping the community will come up with some good stuff for NWN2 although I'll admit it doesn't look too promisng at the moment.

I like playing Druids and miss being able to calm animals rather than fight them.
