So I PERSONALLY, would like to use the avenging executioner, and roll it further into dread witch, and use the overcome fear immensities that it gains access to.

I would thinking of doing a soft overwrite of the class, and to change it from a spell progression to a sudden attack progression , with a side touch of maneuvers progression from tome of battle.

An to change the ability to make a spell have a fear affect, to make one attack a day (and so forth as you progress) a sudden attack, no matter the conditions.

OH and of course raise the BAB and HD,and finally change the qualification to some sort of fear attack instead of spell, and sudden or sneak attack 2d8 or 3d8 minimum before you can get into the prc. but overall, do you think this is a fair trade for a melee focused version of dread witch?

Would Ghost-Faced Killer help at all?
What if instead of auto Sudden attack, could leave people Frightened/ Shaken?

Hmm. I don't know about modifying Dread Witch, but I remember I used some of Dragon Lord from Dragon Magic to make a pretty awesome melee-oriented fear build. Don't know if it fits your build.

Intresting, but dragon lord leans heavyily on a leadership feat styled build

Here's a handbook for fear.
Dread witch does its fear mostly through spells/hexes, isn't it?

The big thing about Dread Witches is that can specifically overcome immunity to fear.

The simple solution would be to play a Duskblade/dreadwitch so you frighten enemies whenever you channel spells through your attacks. If you want to use that exact system, I would suggest making fear effects whenever you make a manuever instead of casting a spell.

Ooh, did not know that...
I mostly use that handbook for the melee stuff like zhentarim fighter 9.

I'll come back with some better advice/suggestions in a bit.

Thats a crazy build, simple but effective.
