I've just begun to get into Pathfinder, and thus Golarion, so I was wondering" which Golarion books do you guys like the most? Which are the most essential?

As in setting books? ISWG has pretty much everything you need to know about Golarion. You could throw in the Field Guide if you're interested in PFS.

Inner Sea World Guide.

I also like the Distant Worlds book as a standout, though mostly for Akiton and Castrovel (which hits all my "pulp sci-fi" buttons).

Beyond that, I'm fond of the Shackles book (Isles of the Shackles) and Mythic Realms (some intriguing information in there).

Inner Sea World Guide is a must. A great and inspirational read. They throw around GREAT adventure concepts in short snippets on every page. My only problem is there is really something for everyone! A future tech country, an all undead country, a dead magic country, etc. But to each his own.

It's not a bug, it's a feature :smallwink:

Golarion tries really really hard to offer a location for each kind of campaign story, and most of the countries were written by different authors independently of each other. The trick is to think of each country as a mini-setting... Want a traditional transylvania-esque horror campaign? Ustalav (http://pathfinder.wikia.com/wiki/Ustalav) is the place to be. Want a game with heavy egyptian themes? Look no further than Osirion (http://pathfinder.wikia.com/wiki/Osirion). Want a game with giant minigun-toting scorpion-robots battling neolithic barbarians armed with laser swords... Well, there's a place for that too (http://pathfinder.wikia.com/wiki/Numeria)!
