Like the title, you know the article that introduce Zceryl(sp?) the binder vestige? I've been wondering if there's a list of all the articles put out by WotC that are, arguably, official and have useful/good/playable stuff like this in them. My googling didn't turn up anything. But any article that introduces a race, a template, a spell, another class ability (like the vestige), a particularly useful item, etc. are what I'm looking for.

I'd be surprised if there weren't compilations like this so help finding them would be great!

Well, it's because most handbooks are based on a specific topic. The Most Useful articles is so broad and vague as to be useless.

For example, I recommend the fingerblade. It comes with a free 1d6 Sneak attack. (Did that help?)

I compiled a complete list of every type of curse you can put on someone using bestow curse. (Does that help?)

I'm not sure what your situation is, so I don't know what will help.

HERE (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?board=28.0) is enough handbooks you occupy your time for... oh... a few minutes, I should think. Take a glance.

Maybe my query was unclear.

I'm not looking for anything specific except to add D&D 3.5 information to my collection. I have access to every 3.5 book but if I flip through them all I will never find

Zceryll:
https://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frcc/20070718

nor will I find

Teleport through Time:
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/pg/20030409b

nor will I find

Undead Leadership(I think):
http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=dnd/dx20021031x

nor will I find the prestige class "Lord of the Dead" from the same article.

I've found the above things but I'm sure there are a lot more buried amidst all the...stuff wotc poured out in their articles.

If I was asked to focus on an area, I'm more interested in spellcasting stuff but I want to have it all (I like my players to have as many resources available as possible).

I realize this isn't how most people look for information but in the same way races and templates are compiled into lists why not this online-only information being compiled?

Thanks for the handbook link though, I imagine I will spend some time flipping through all that.

"Mind's Eye" is chock full of great stuff for psionics, even cross-system stuff like psionic vestiges and psion-friendly soulmelds.

The Wild Cohort article is one of the best boons to low-tier classes ever made. The Infernal Adept article gives Warlocks a decent boost as well.

There are also some great fluff articles e.g. Keith Baker's articles on the Warforged.

Thanks! That's awesome (psionics are my personal favorite spellcasting mechanic)! :D

Mind's Eye is okay. It brought us StP, which is awful, but it has stuff for psionic rogues and Psychic Warrior, which are pretty cool.

I consider Infernal Adept to be a bit of a trap. YMMW.

Swiftblade is online material. Everyone should be playing swiftblade. >:3

Warblade and all of the maneuvers are free. A good, hearty slap is suggested for any DM trying to ban it on any grounds. :smalltongue:

If you like vestiges like Zceryll, you might also be interested in Vanus, found here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20060407a). He's a neat little vestige, but obviously not as good as Zceryll. Of the psionic vestiges, found here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/dd/20060407a). I personally dislike Arete and Abysm because they fundamentally go against how binder works in having limited uses of abilities, but the Triad is very nice. All exotic weapons. That is huge.
Astaroth and Desharis are two more interesting vestiges, found here (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20070307a). This page also features more mysteries, which is very nice since it's the only other source of mysteries besides ToM.

On a different note, Urban class features (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20070228a) is one of my favorite online supplements, because of all the neat little perks. I particularly like the streetfighter ACF and skilled city dweller. Ride for Tumble is the best deal I ever made.

From the retired articles archive (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/retired), there are a few categories that are good:

The Mind's Eye has already been mentioned: you should just download the whole thing (they have a link for it), since that'll get you all the psionic stuff including ACFs as well as a vestige and some soulmelds.

Random Encounters has a lot of the other good stuff, including the Swiftblade PrC and Wild Cohort feat (and attached PrCs), but you'll also slog through some dead wood.

Spellbook has some ancient 3.0 era spells, some of which have been updated and others which have not. Use at your own peril.

Finally, Far Corners of the World has a few spells and items to go with it's adventure hooks and scenarios, and Fey Feature has a few items to go with it's assortment of fey and fey court lore. These are also both pretty old though so be ready.

There are also Eberron and Forgotten Realms articles with stuff like the Clockwork Armor, but that part of the site never seems to display properly and I haven't tried digging through them (instead I just bookmark the links when someone mentions them) And of course you should be able to download all the web enhancements in one place, which include a lot of ACFs. The Citywalk WE has already been mentioned, and I also like the Ghostwalk WE which has a Paladin spell that lets you just teleport automatically to a bad guy you're allowed to gank.

There are vestiges in ToM with limited abilities too. For instance, Tenebrous gives you the Flicker Mystery 1/day when you get him. So it's not really all that weird.

Wow, everyone has had really lame suggestions so far.

The true champ of them all, is CLEARLY, the one that lets you rp as a cat

Swiftblade is indeed great, as is the urban enhancement.
I want to add the Zhentarim, which is a +100% upgrade on straight fighter.

It also introduces the Collar of Perpetual Attendance and the Cat Domain, which is useful if you need to double dip the luck domain power.

Here are some other articles I find useful. Ultimate Magus (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ex/20061010a&page=3). Elemental Familiar (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=dnd/sb/sb20011109a) Scholar's Touch and Familiar Face (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/iw/20041210b&page=2)
Transferance. Also a free bonus feat if you're into DCFS (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20060526a)

There's also Guidance of the Avatar (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/article.asp?x=dnd/sb/sb20010504a), but I consider that too cheesy to actually use.

True enough, but even Tenebrous has abilities that function all day. If you've used up all your PP with Abysm, you get nothing from it from the rest of the day. Abysm also gives you a rather small number of PP considering all the powers you're supposed to use them on.

Well, that's not quite true - even after you use your PP you still count as psionic, which can have uses.

But my understanding is that these vestiges are really meant to be used with a multiclass psionic binder rather than a straight one, particularly one that uses Anima Psion. One of the huge benefits to using the psionic vestiges is that their powers still count as supernatural abilities, letting you bypass PR, manifest without concentration checks, boost the DC with Ability Focus on top of your augments etc. You get more ammo if you use a psionic race as well.

I'll point out the Cats article is fun for tibbits, if your DM allows it. It's just good overall.

Woah woah woah: You can download the whole archive of an article type(series? whatever ya call em?)? I tried to find such a link but couldn't; Can someone tell me how that works because that would be PERFECT! (especially for mind's eye but it sounds like there are several that are worth looking into)?
