While making a Pit Fighter (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/prestige-classes/other-paizo/n-r/pit-fighter) Barbarian I noticed that Performance Weapon Mastery (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/performance-weapon-mastery-combat) and Master Combat Performer (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/combat-feats/master-combat-performer-combat) seem to give proficiency with every weapon by virtue of making every weapon you wield treated as having the performance quality and being proficient with all weapons with that quality.

My question is how do I exploit this assuming a pathfinder only setting?

(dunno if this works with pathfinder but it made me laugh so much I am sharing it)

A resetting trap of Fabricate so you can just start throwing EVERYTHING including the Kitchen Sink ala Cartoon Style.

Sadly, you're missing a key part of the wording in Performance Weapon Mastery:

Benefit: You treat all weapons you are proficient in as if they had the performance weapon quality.

Which means you have to be proficient with the weapon before you can make it a performance weapon.

So if you're trying to recreate Haberdash (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=88633) in a Pathfinder only setting, you have a few options I can think of:

1) Playing a Tengu (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/advancedRaceGuide/featuredRaces/tengus.html#_exotic-weapon-training), which are proficient with all swords by default, or can trade that away for proficiency with 3 + their Intelligence bonus exotic eastern weapons (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateCombat/combat/easternArmorAndWeapons.html#_table-eastern-weapons-exotic).

2) Playing a Gnome to get the Master Tinker (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/advanced/advancedRaces.html#_master-tinker) trait, which allows you to be proficient with any weapon you have personally crafted.

3) You can also play a custom race (http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/advancedRaceGuide/raceBuilder.html) to get access to the Tengu universal sword proficiency and/or Master Tinker and/or Weapon Familiarity (racial weapons).

Having said that, I haven't done a full survey of Pathfinder Exotic Weapons, so I'm not sure which ones are worth looking at. We might as well figure it out here together.

Hmm, I guess that would only work if you can somehow get a temporary proficiency with a desired weapon so that you can start a chicken and egg qualification scheme. :smallannoyed:
