I know this question is answered somewhere but i can't for the life of me find out where. So if im repeating something sorry.

But is there a limit to the maximum HD of 1 single undead i can create/rebuke?

For example if i was a level 8 dread necromancer that can control 56HD of undead. (4+cha mod(3))x8 or 112 HD if i had rod of undead mastery. Would i theoretically be able to Raise/Control a 56 / 112 HD creature if i could find one? or is there a cap. (if you were to remove the twice caster level HD limit in 1 casting from animate dead)

Edit: Oops remove the rebuke portion of it.... forgot you can only control an undead through rebuke that has half your level in HD

I don't remember there being a cap on individual undead mentioned anywhere, just the cap on total undead under your command.

You can't normally create (non-dragon) skeletons or zombies with more than 20 HD, but otherwise there isn't an upper limit on the number of HD a single animated creature may have that I am aware of.
