Hello... So my party is now going to go after about... 500 orcs... most of which are level 8 or 9 and I can't seem to find any normal NPC stats for any of them and I was wondering if you guys could help.. There is also going to be 5 guys that are level 13 and one main guy that is going to be level 18...... So... if you guys could help me I would be very appreciative, if not then I understand.

This is in 3.5....

normal npc stats are in the monster manual stat block under Orc. How in the world did the orcs get so high level?

Also, how will your group be attacking?
What is the make up and level of the group?
And what kinds of items/magic do you have access too?

I'm no D&D expert, but perhaps your party should simply kill the leaders then let the rest fight among themselves.

Honestly.. it does not matter... there is like... 5-8 of these people, depending on how many show up on the day we play... and they are all like level.. 13th level....

Also I have no idea how they will attack.. because lets be honest... You can never fully predict what your PCs are going to do... and whatever you guys think is far for that level...

If the orcs are built like crap and the party is powerbuilt then let em at the orcs. But orcs that level arent gonna be a marching army. There gonna have a nation under there control

I would just like help stating them.. otherwise I will make the characters and they will most likely die.. I would like to give them a chance to live...

The horde would probably be barbarians, maybe some half orc clerics as the higher ups, full orc barb/frenzy as the top dog, going off a basic orc premise

I can build you the 500 level 8 orcs in about 15 minutes in you like, and the leader if you wanna go my route. the spell casters i suck at building

Lots of orcs eh sounds like a job for some casters to do lots of aoe spells as well as some crowd control.

Variation, always a good thing.

I'd have the rank and file, say about 350-400 of them just be Warrior level 5. Simple HD, remember their +1 stat bump from 4. Only entitles the Orcs to one additional feat... if you want to keep them familiar with their Javelins, maybe something like Brutal Throw.

50 of them as level 7 Barbarians, simple progression. Don't use any ACFs on them for the various pounce and trip shenanigans. Do give them the hulk smash power attack line.

40 or so I'd roll out as Shamans. Go level 8 with them.Give 'em a Wolf Companion to fit the orcish image. Make them into Grapple beasts perhaps with Choke Hold or Earth's Embrace with their bonus feats. Fury and Ancestor Domain sounds about right for Orcish Shamans. Usual selection of self buffs for a grapple beast as far as spells go, couple extra Summon Nature's Ally for the literal wall of wolves/bears to slow down enemies.

Then 10 or so as an "honor Guard" of Fighter 4/Paladin of Tyranny 4 or so.

Could be a good baseline. Depending of course on how your table rolls out, setting particulars, etc, of course.

You can look for tougher orcs in the Tougher Sons of Gruumsh web enhancement: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/we/20060418a

Also, I'd be adding orc howlers and orc battle priests from the MMIV.

They are The Cavity Clan. They chant as they attack...

I can't help but feel that by "Normal NPC stats" the players will be going after some noncombatant orcs in that horde too. Which could raise all kinds of thorny issues.

If I'm wrong, and I hope I am, you can just stat them all up as Warriors with a few Adepts and maybe an occasional Rogue (not Expert).
